I sometimes get scared when I am in a paddock with a few yearlings that get a bit playful. Imagine riding a racehorse in a tight field at full gallop, just frightening.

OMG - I've just seen Dolly's fall on TVN . How he got out of it with no damage is astounding . To rock up the next day to [ I think ] 7 rides is extraordinarily brave .

It really was unbelievable.

Carazzo hits two blokes, one behind play and the other in the jaw and gets one week. Unbelievable.

Yeah but which club does he play for? They only get head-butts to the fist, don't they?

Sorry, I forgot.

Guess which highly paid young player David King had a go at tonight on AFL 360? It has started.

I knew it would.

Whether he deserves it or not (he does), journos don't look hard for narratives and "young player gets paid more than he should be" is right up their lazy alley.

He was on excess baggage last night with a few GWS mates in their orange gear and he was referred to as a "star melbourne fc player". I thought that was funny as he stood there in his GWS gear.

Did Dipper run through him and call him a pu55y ?

Did Dipper run through him and call him a pu55y ?

Unfortunately not. Unless it was cut from the show.

PS. A very funny comment was made by K FED who said the guy kicking the ball to him couldn't get it anywhere near him, from 40 metres away. Guess who he was referring to?

According to Deestroy All, Dipper did and HWSNBN stormed off and his mail was that it would have been cut.

Is it just me or are other people also feeling absolutely flat following the events of the last 24 hours.

I know he is only one player and he was not likely to play for some time but

I feel like the one time the Dees get a player who is capable of being a champion and it is over before it really started.

Tomorrows game at this point holds little interest for me.

Did not feel this bad after that infamous day at Geelong.

Yes, I'm feeling rather flat at the moment, but I am looking forward to tomorrow's game so I can take some of the focus off the events of the past 24 hours or so.

Today was a bad day for the clowns at GWS to send me an email asking if I was interested in becoming a member... usually I would have ignored it, but not today... today I was more than happy to provide them with a response :)

It was nothing too special, but happy to share:

Why are you sending this to me? How did you get my details?

As a Melbourne Demons supporter/member, GWS would be possibly the last team on the planet that I would consider investing in. The whole Scully affair and the lies and subterfuge that took place both on Scully's part (I anticipate being a one team player - press conf early 2011) and the employment of phantastically phat Phil in a move to clinch the deal, have left me sincerely hoping that GWS are a dismal failure.

Good luck when free agency arrives and half your homesick young recruits depart...and good luck on recouping your investment in Scully...he played one very good game and a handful of serviceable games at Melbourne and is yet to show anything at GWS. The only wise move you made was taking on Israel Folau as a marketing tool...rather ironic that you are likely to get a better playing return from him than from the $6mil man.

It was nothing too special, but happy to share:

Excellent. All True...& they know it.

Well

Done..

No it is not just you. I refuse to post on the other thread because a lot of what I read was BS and this of course is a no BS thread. I think they need to let things take their course.

As for your other point about possible champions, I actually thought the same, as well as having compassionate thoughts for LJ of course.

Players like Jakovich, Schwartz, Prymke, Charles, Lyon, Dean, Bamblett and a host of others failed to fulfill their absolute potential due to injury or other factors.

Liam's career is not finished O.D.....

mate as I type it is not looking flash.

Hate Hot chocolate but perhaps a single malt later on.

The bright spot is I am baby sitting my GD tonight and she is more fun than the MFc will be in March.

Liams culture has a very ancient way of healing wrist injury -don't panic.

The wrist is fine and he is back in Melbourne .

Just alegedly hold a dangerous weapon for a couple of aleged minutes and you're right, it would seem . . . Alegedly.

To change the tone a bit, off to the footy this afternoon for a twilight game and hopefully see more improvement in our game.

He looked every part the Warrior at the airport yesterday....the possum's grown into dreadies and the beard would scare a few jumpy US troops.

I can see a real future for Troy Davis. Big, strong, quick, tough, determined and reasonable disposal. I am sure he would get some ball in the forward line as well.

  • GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

It's Game Day and the Demons are back on the road for their 3rd interstate game in 4 weeks as they face a fit and firing Crows at Adelaide Oval. With finals now out of our grasps what are you hoping from the Dees today?

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
