It's wonderful that on this thread we can discuss all topics, not just restricted to AFL.

Very, very generous with the concept of 'discuss' there, Redleg.

Maybe even a little generous with 'topic' in some cases.

But this is certainly one of the healthier primordial oozes of the internet and should be celebrated as such.

"Primordial oozes" !!!!!

What an outrageous way to describe the scholarly discourse that this thread is renowned for.

I'm sure @Redleg will impose a stern penalty on you Goffy

The only ooze I know played over 250 games for us on a half back flank and is now one of our coaches.

I don't even know what primordial is, so no fine on this occasion.

Hate to admit this in public, but my favourite rum is Malibu, that of the coconut variety.

Must be a generational thing, then, gentlemen: I'm in, too.

Do you do it with milk? Guilty pleasure!

A very popular version Mr Leg.

If it tantilises the tastebuds knock yourself out.

Fav cocktail on hols or summer months is ye old Pina Colada and Island Tea goes down pretty well.

I have yet to indulge in straight Malibu but it's no doubt been in a cocktail or two over the years as a mixer.

TRA is suggesting to add milk 🤔

What else is popular here?  Or are you we talking straight on the rocks?

*Apologies to Uncle in advance 😄

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
