Been a mixed week so far for poor old Uncle Bitter.

1.I'm helping Biffen tidy up some of his messy business interests. Interesting but his promise of financial reward seems unlikely.

2. Visited my GP today and she advised me not to make any long term plans.

3.Finally some mirth. Pendles and his missus named their sprog "Jax" . FM where does that come from? I suppose the filth supporters will consider it sophisticated. Jax!!! FMD!!

that's apple iphone auto-predictive text for you, uncle

next they'll do away with teachers ......... just plug babies directly into a computer at birth and leave it to dr google and professor apple

and names will be replaced by numbers (just like footballers)

I could cope with that.

Make sure your passport is up to date and that your date is passable (in a doctor way)

Good Lord!!

Just finished the week attempting to help Biffen tidy up his affairs at the Gat.

It's cost me fuel for the Merc, tolls, lunches etc. Plus the physical burden of moving his equipment.

Neither a word of thanks nor any of his promised recompense.

[censored] ingrate!

It's been a bad week for me too Uncle. A slight accident on the way home yesterday, taking a short cut via Merri Creek.

Toiges fans will be doing their 'nana tonight.

Well we can now wash ourselves of that silly game of football for the year. Was intruding on the serious pursuits; crosswords  jigsaws and truffle hunting.

Word from brethren north is the yellow cropping not as harshly affected by nasty weather as possibly might have been but dont expect cheap fruit.

Might buy and freeze...one needs a supply for daiquiris ;)

Close enough!

Dear Uncle I got given a home made Shiraz called "Dirty Olman", circa 2011 I have had a glass of this previous and it tasted great. Given your social contacts and ability to move in ever diminishing rare circles of confounded conolutions, I wondered being of simlar volition to the main entreaty! Have you ever come across this delicious Drop?

Well picket, I've been called a "Dirty Olman" on more occasions than I can remember but, as to that particular libation, the answer is no.

Try a Cabernet next time. Has much superior genetic cache. Stop slumming in lowly Shiraz land.

Wash your mouth out with caustic soda skinny - shiraz is the king of wines.

I can't imagine picket drinking anything but cheap red Earl. After all, he is not of the genteel class.

Still we must indulge the hoi polloi from time to time I suppose

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
