In order to offend as many cultures as possible today ,I will be dressing as Prince Phillip and have asked Bitters to go dressed as HRH QE2.

I will be giving a speech on important British victories in the Sudan,Sth Africa,The Middle East ,The Crimea,The Falklands,Palestine etc and trying to revive the old colonial spirit ,lest the great epoch of British Dominions be forgotten with all this trendy multicultural clap trap.

Arabic on the Pigskin indeed.

Sacrilege!!!

Not a bad game today now that I reflect on it soberly after I have recovered. I have to admit I had put down a few sherbets by half time but I could have sworn I saw Prince Phillip when I came out the Men's at the third quarter break. I tried to run up to say hello but got taken out by some six foot plus transvestite dressed as old lady with grey hair and wearing a tiara! Never saw her flying elbow coming. Did anyone else see Sir Prince Phillip? Didn't think he was touring at the moment.

If you have recovered already Earl, I'd say you way underdosed on the sherberts.

A lot of our players were sick, so it was a great effort to outscore the Roos for 3 quarters.

You might have had a free lunch- don't believe the hype.

The players came out like a bunch of male ballerinas at a debutante ball-neither masculine nor acceptable but entirely predictable.

No free lunch, no hype, just confirmation that most were sick.

An analogy that brings back sad memories Biff?

Now that is a strange retelling of events. However a concussion can do that. I was dressed in my usual classic and regal style - I am often mistaken for various celebrities and movie stars. Around 3/4 time Biffen did take out a fellow that had a North Fitzroy look about him.

However, I could not, in all honesty, describe Biffen as looking like a tranvestite. Bull dyke certainly. Biffen describes it as his chic/grunge style -FMD!! To me he looks like a very common navvy.

Anyway I believe ( as predicted) he is over his transgender foolishness - no money in it!

Got some Medallion tickets this week. It's always fun seeing your team smashed at Etihad, from the better seats. Can't remember the last time we won a home and away game there.

BTW the Dogs are the team that gets the absolute best umpire treatment whenever we play them. Expecting more of the same.

Red leg you are beginning to worry me.

You are making me sound like an optimist.

I think it is time you took another cruise.

    THE CAVALRY ARRIVES by Megg

The injury plague which has beset the Demons 2024 campaign is finally starting to dissipate and with consecutive wins over GWS Giants and a 2-point nail-biter in Adelade, a sense of optimism is rising.  Some commentators are now asking whether the Dees can make finals? A huge surprise with team selection this week when it was announced that champs Olivia Purcell, Paxy Paxman and Eden Zanker would play.   Hallelujah!  The cavalry has arrived. St Kilda missed the finals last season on pe

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.
