I just thought Watts was so good especially consdering the rubbish support he got.

That's a really good point re Watts game, it wasn't just in isolation of course but in the context of the rubbish all around him, his efforts must rate even higher. Showed a big heart! Good perspective, thanks.

This maybe goes for many of us, but certainly for me, I shouldn't post straight after such a gut-wrenching loss. Hard to have good perspective. But it's therapeutic Thanks 45HG16.

We didn't waste a #1 pick on Naitanui, that is positively confirmed, K Hunt kicks better than him.

I'm glad this club is so soft and give me nothing in return for all I've given to them. Means I won't feel guilty if I don't show up and support them again this year. I haven't missed a game without good reason in years, but this is some of the softest rubbish I've ever witnessed from MFC, I may as well truly be part of the culture and be as soft as them, I can be stress free and spend 3 hours doing something worth while.

I'm positively broken.

Jack Darling at pick 26 was far more valuable than Watts. Check both player's dream team scores. Or watch a replay with fresh eyes.

It's just that Watts has been so woeful, we get excited when he plays half reasonable.

Don't get me wrong, I love it when he takes a contested mark. But ultimately we expect far, far more than what he's giving now.

A bit harsh. Tell me would you rather be a forward in a team with at least twice as many inside 50s and accurate passing from guys up the ground (cue darling) or the odd rare and slow I50 with woeful disposal from up the ground (cue watts). I'm not a smart man but I reckon I would prefer the former. Can't you take the anti-watts blinkers off and see one of the few positives from the game.

Oh yeah. And the other positive besides watts...more early draft picks at the end of the year. Oh bugger, that's right, gws falafells get them all...

- Trengove, particularly in the third quarter.

I thought there were a few positives

1) More practice for our backline (as if they havent had enough)

2) J Watts (covered)

3) C Garland starting to think he'll be on the mid year short list for All-Australian - really liked his step up this year.

4) Trengove being our best midfielder (but this is more an inditment on the others)

5) Only a few more weeks till Scully!

Positive:

Jack Darling was not drafted at 13. That would have put Melbourne in Tambling/Franklin and Fiora/Pavlich territory.

Negative:

26 is double 13, so numerically it's twice as bad.
