Jones is offically soft

Just Jones? I had heard there was an incident but didn't see it? In reality though our WHOLE side looks soft and cannot play contested footy.

How in god's name is Watts getting votes?

The kid played good and showed some strong marks but not in the top 6 players.

Some of you should be kicked in the guts for not including Barts. Kid was hard and actually gave us run and heart all night.

6 - Garland

5 - Trengove

4 - Jamar

3 - Bartram

2 - Jones

1 - Bail

Awarded for effort only. Sadly, we widn't have a single winner on the night.

6. Garland - Battled manfully. The best of our overwhelmed defenders, but several costly clangers.

5. Jamar - Worked hard but was one-out against two or three all night.

4. Watts - Good work rate including a couple of strong marks. Encouraging, but looked 'lost' on occasions.

3. Jones - Worked hard, but the usual flaws were evident

2. Trengove - Worked hard against the odds of a dominant WC midfield

1. Bail - Earned his place, particularly in the first half.

Frustrated and patience is wearing me down.

Jones is offically soft

It staggers me that he didn't lay one tackle last night.

6 - Garland

4 - Jamar (and he was well beaten by his man, which shows how little this weeks votes equate to actually playing well!)

3 - Trengove

2 - Bail

1 - Watts

Same players; same comment about Jamar (gee, he busted a gut out there, even though he was well beaten and ditto for Bail); slightly different order:

6 - Garland

5 - Trengove

4 - Jamar

3 - Jones

2 - Bail

1 - Watts

I'm actually tempted to rate Jamar first and Bail second because they did not give up trying, even though their opponents were probably best and second best on the ground.

I'm sending out a search party to see if they can find Davey, Jurrah, Wona & Bennell. They all seem to go missing at the same time so I'm sure they're together.

Well said.

It's official. The bloke had his turn to go, and didn't go.

He can be dropped from now into infinitely. Bald, tattooed, and soft.

When was that? when he got crunched from glass?

Im sorry but if that was watts or bennell they would have run in the opposite direction. Jones took his hit and was our best player on the night. Very starnge you see this the other way.

6- Col Garland gee i felt sorry for him last night

Votes mainly based on the work rate of the players

6 - Bartram

5 - Watts

4 - Jamar

2 - Trengove

1 - Tapscott

It must be hard being in this group and seeing Aaron Davey out their. Pathetic effort by him. If you are too lazy to run, give someone else a game.

Brad Green has lost it as Captain, Moloney should be captain irrespective of his ONE night of drinking on the town. Did David Neitz lose his captaincy when he punched the bouncer at Crown several years back.. (I honestly do not know, but I only think he apologised, and that was that)

How in god's name is Watts getting votes?

Maybe because he was the ONLY ONE wearing red and blue (well, white) that actually gave 100% in the first quarter. I'm not exaggerating. He was the only one out there who looked like he g.a.f. early.

Faded a bit and on a better night for the team, that perfomance wouldn't get votes. But he definitely deserves some credit.

For those that put Grimes in - didn't he play on Darling?

I was thinking the same thing... Racked up 27 touches with his usual dose of clangers and his 18yo opponent kicked three. Would've thought he was way off votes.

How can you not have Davey in there? At leaset Rivers tried to look interested. Davey clearly did not want to be out there last night.

yeah particularly when he missed a shot from 30 metres out under ZERO pressure while we still had some sort of sniff early in the 3rd. True leader.

happy now?

Really surprised with a lack of votes for Bartram.

He worked really hard, which is more than about 16 other players can say for themselves.

Yep, Clint and Judy Garland gave it a crack no worries with them, Mark Jamar worked his ring off, but none of our midfielders could be bothered getting near his taps.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
