Reading that Casey have the bye...

Why not line up the Dees against Casey with a 6- or 8-deep bench for a practice match instead of one of the training sessions?

I mean, we do have players who need it.

Line up a (somewhat) weakened Dees with players like Strauss, Maric brought in, then line up Casey + a couple of Dees players (possibly including Watts).

While it's not as good as an ACTUAL game, it would probably be better than the Gold Coast game for a contest and would hopefully help build some confidence.

And yes, there is the injury risk, but there's injury risk in training too, and the match practice would be good.

Why not just let them have the weekend off?

After all, their next game is on a Thursday nite at West Coast-

a few extra days off may do them the world of good.

The R&R could be good for the guys. It also gives us an extra week to let those players with little niggles to recover.

Yeh, they can all go off and get drunk together!!
