6 - Trengove. Kicked a couple of good goals, and generally won the hard ball and delivered well. Also cleaned up a bit in the back half.

5 - Moloney. Continued his good form from last week. You'd expect him to kill it against the Suns, and he did.

4 - Bail. Has heaps of run and great endurance

3 - Jamar. Needs to work on his kicking for goal, but his tapwork is good, and if he got half the frees close to goal that he should have, he would have kicked a bag.

2 - Jones. I think he's finally worked out how to play around his weaknesses. I expect him to really continue this form into the future because all the things he's doing are very reliable. He's not a flashy player, so he should be able to remain consistent.

1 - Wonaeamirri. Toss up between him and Morton for the one vote. Wonna was great in the forward half and really brings the tackling pressure we need. Great to have him back.

Sylvia was shocking in the first half, IMO. Kicked some teenage butt in the second half, but was really poor early.

Garland was not so good either. I would consider dropping him for Macdonald, who played well this week in the VFL. Obviously we'll have more info to go on in a couple of weeks time.

I'm really surprised at all the votes for Sylvia. He was awful when the heat was on. Not worst on ground, by any means. But certainly not in our top six. His second half is probably the reason he's getting votes, because it's fresh in your minds.

I thought he was good. I checked his stats cause you got me wondering if I was imagining his form (i admit to being a fan). Right up there in disposals, marks and even better, he led the tackles. I'll take note when i re-watch the game but i'm happy where i have him.

I felt like his disposal efficiency in the first half was woeful. I'm obviously one out and loved his second half. I just thought his first was poor, and for that reason, he shouldn't be getting all these 4 votes.

The thing with Sylvia is that he is icing on the cake, he isn't batter. So when we're good and he's good, he's bloody sensational.

He can rival Ablett with some of his work in close. It's just that he doesn't do it well enough for long enough on a consistent enough level. If he did, he'd be right up there on Brownlow night, because he certainly catches your eye when he's on.

6 - Moloney. Easily best on ground and did a bit or everything, and did it well.

5 - Trengove. I can't wait to see what he ends up. Brilliant, smart game. In everything. 3rd, 4th 5th efforts stunning.

4 - Bail. Kicking still needs work but his all-round game is weekly improving. Gut-busting run for 100 minutes.

3 - Jamar. Some ruckman can equal/negate him but none can beeat him. Classy ruck performance

2 - Sylvia. If he could only do it for a full game.

1 - Jones. In the last 2 weeks he has shown poise, his biggest lack. It might be Lions and Suns but at least he is improving.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
