Nope and don't recall ever being a big fan either.

Jones had an impressive debut season back when the pace of the game wasn't as high as it is now.

The skills Tapscott displays have always and will always be valuable in the modern game and if you choose to ignore his talents to try and protect yourself from disappointment, than that is your choice. But don't drag others down into your own misery hole.

fair enough answer, but you know as well as I do the Nath Jones approval meter has gone from 90% to 10% since his first couple of years. He is but one example. We can't develop players at this club and nobody seems to mention it. Bruce, Neitz, Yze, White, McDonald, Johnstone, Robertson, McLean, Davey, Sylvia, Moloney, Green, Jamar.. all decent servants but not an A-grader among them. Everyone else that has been on our list is just an also-ran and that's over 10 years of players. Morton and Grimes in their fourth years now, how are they travelling? They're going OK but are they going to be stars of the comp? Frawley might be the exception but he has just one fine year to his name so far, so I won't be claiming that just yet. Reading the comments lately it's Tapscott and Scully that are going to save us, as if some reason the pattern will be broken. Schwab told us that for the first time we can look our players in the eye and tell them they have equal resources that their opponents do. Is this the answer? For the life of me I can never work out why nobody will touch this issue

How about Tatslukie or Tatsluko. Looks like we finally found a real winner from the draft. BTW, whats his contract status?

Assuming he got a 2-year contract. Unlikely for him to leave though - he and Jack Trengove are actually best mates from school, living together, families know each other, all that. With Trengove staying, he's far more likely to stay.

Its about time that we had a real brute of a kid like him in the team. Him in the midfield replacing jones would be something that i would love to see. He has a strong body, not scared of a contest and has a B-E-A-UTIFUL kick. If only we had 1 more running defender. They tried trenners there yesterday. Looked lost

fast forward a couple of years to 'Luke Tapscott - Absolute Liability'

i am over getting excited by brand new players, none of them ever become stars at this club and then we turn on them for it

Nathan Jones was very popular early

Your right. Lets slit our wrists now. We are only going to die in the future anyway.

Both he and Trengove signed on for 3 years after they were drafted.

Did they? Well even better.

Although I thought they were still vulnerable next year to GWS anyway.

'Tapdog' is what I'm going with.

Inspired by the movie/dance troupe, 'Tap Dogs'. A bunch of dudes, who tap dance. In a totally non-effeminate way.

I can't imagine Luke in the movie but I like the name.

...BTW, whats his contract status?

If I recall correctly he and Trengove both signed 3 year deals back yonder.

The Transporter (of the ball)

I like "The Transporter" that could work.

For a young kid he is so wide across the back, in 2-3 years time he will be like a mobile Kelvinator (There is another one)!!!

According to the Ox, Luke's nickname around the club is also "suicide" for his attack on the ball. Dean Bailey has referred to this in interviews previously.

Personally, I don't care what his nickname is just as long as he continues to play well.

Homocide works better for me...

Suicide, Homicide, Bullet...hell, even Stabby would work for his kicking.

It's an unusual trend, but I kinda like it.

Hom "i" cide might work better.

Not that there is anything wrong with that

I suggested a week ago - "Mr T"

Don't know if it will catch on. He led by example apart from two blemishes.

A lot less blemishes than Mr RR's love child Mr Grimes .

That is so much what we need. Someone who fearlessly attacks the ball a la Campbell Brown. Haven't had that for a while. Maybe Viney, Tingay?

The fact he can kick beautifully is an outstanding bonus.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
