- CMC on IR

- Deebo likely out

- Kittle and Purdy day to day

On top of that Bosa battling a rib injury, Hargrave out for the season, Chavarius Ward banged up.

Short answer: No

Reminds me of the Demons forward line going into the 2023 finals

It's hard to win without attacking weapons especially when it's multiple players

The NQR replacements are just that, NQR

not pretty but the cowboys get the job done.

Defence much better. stopped the run and kept the giants out of the endzone. penalties still a problem but didn't cost us this game.

Yes, your defence won the game for you.  Giants receivers couldn't create seperation (when it mattered) and your run defence was far too good for the Giants running game

The Rams out-gained the Bears 322-264, averaged almost a full yard per play more on offense, went 5-for-11 on third down, and won the time of possession...and they still lost.

McVay and the Rams are about to have a last position finish in our div and a top 10 picks looks likely.

The rest of us either got 1 point or none with 2 participants banking on the Titans tomorrow to gain a point

More later but next week all points scored are doubled, so 3 winners will net you 6 or maybe even 8 points

The Ravens looked great and even though they were playing at home, they dismantled a hot team in the Bills comprehensively

Vikings, Bucs, Falcons, Bengals & Texans all had important wins.  KC & the 49ers won as expected

But the big mover is Washington with 449 yards on offense with overall no.2 pick in the 2024 draft Jayden Daniels playing his part

The Eagles & Dallas have suddenly got some competition in the NFC East

Most difficult week so far.

I could see all Home teams winning. Except Rams.

Over the 10+ years we've done this, weeks like this often toss up 5 or 6 road winners.  It's just the nature of the beast and this tipping comp is best described as beastly

And it's rare to have only 2 or 3 road winners but when that does happen, it's often when there are 5 or 6 standout road chances who fall short

The unknown factor is when a team (or teams) make 1 or 2 fatal errors which leads to a 1 or 2 TD's.  As we're all aware, turnovers often decide the games

It's just a matter of finding 3 in a very tough week but even 2 out of 3 this week gets you 2 points

One-out = 8 points!!

If you ever wanted a monty, the packers are it this week!

After playing lots of 12 personal vs the niners and running the ball a lot, we went back to 85+% 11 personnel and refused to run the ball inside the red zone (as per usual) even though our running backs have been great this year.

McVay must take so much of the blame for the bears loss.
He is a genius at times and a nonce at others and he loves to throw the ball which is fine when you have Kupp and Nacua, but when you dont and the run game is going well vs one of the worst run defence in the league and you throw it most of the game you are a turnip!

If the Packers are a monty against you with their injuries then that sure is an indictment on us!

You know what happens now?

McVay will run the ball and the Rams win.  The Packers at home allowed the Vikes to get out to a 28-0 lead!!

Home team wins

Just on this again. As coaches McVay and Shanahan seem to think they need to be ahead of the game as and second guess things. It's like "Sure it worked against the Niners last week but the Bears are gonna see this coming so let's keep them guessing". Not to sound like a jerk but it's almost like they've put so much time into their massive playbooks that they would hate it if they only ended up needing 1/4 of those plays.

The benefit of playing something like 12 personnel is that more often not it forces the defense to show you what they are going to do. For example the two TEs might convince them to bring a safety up and therefore make it obvious that they're thinking run.

Whether the players you have on the field are good enough to beat it though is another story.

I think McVay loves the beauty of Stafford throwing the ball and is super quick to get away from the run game. Be interesting to see what he does this week.

Blake Corrum didn’t even get a snap vs bears and only has a few in game 2, and he was the RB susperstar at Michigan last year.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
