  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

MELBOURNE SUPPORTERS for MS

A few weeks ago my niece Louisa, aged in her mid-thirties received the news that she had MS - multiple sclerosis.

The family didn't know much about MS but we're learning quickly and want to do all we can to support Louisa, her immediate family - husband Simon and two lovely young kids Maya and Eden and all people affected by MS.

So, we've formed a group called "Team Lou". We've entered the MS Walk and Fun Run Melbourne and will be pounding the pavement for a reason on Sunday 6 June.

We are walking and running to support people affected by Multiple Sclerosis, and we need your help.

Louisa's family are all Demon supporters. Her grandfather, Albert Reilly, played for the Demon Reserves back in the early 1950's and we're calling on Demon fans to get behind our efforts on 6 June by supporting Team Lou in the MS Walk and Fun Run.

Multiple Sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system affecting more young adult Australians than any other neurological condition. Your donation will go towards providing a wide range of equipment, support and services to those people affected by this debilitating disease.

Did you know?

- The average age of diagnosis of MS is just 30 years

- 3 times more women than men are affected by MS

- There is no known cause or cure

Please take a moment to view my online fundraising web page and help us reach our goal. It's quick and easy and takes no time at all. You can donate securely online using your credit card by clicking on the link below:

http://register.mswalk.org.au/MS-Walk-and-Fun-Run-Melbourne/jchrapot

You will receive a tax-deductible receipt via email automatically when the transaction has been completed.

Thank you in advance for your support. It is greatly appreciated.

My Step mum has had MS for over 20 years WJ so i can sympathize you

It's a bugger of a thing. It doesn't kill you but it sucks the life out of a person slowly.

As yet no cure exists but it will happen, which is why Stem cell research must continue.

WJ's reached $190.00 in donations.

Although I have my own fundraising webpage, I heartily endorse WJ's efforts and thank those who have donated so far.

Given that we won tonight, let's give some thought to those who are less fortunate than us.

Cheers!

This came in a few days ago from the MS people. Thanks to those who have supported Team Lou so far by donating or joining in the walk . We're running second in the teams.

The fundraising competition is heating up with $349,177 raised so far!

Entries are rolling in with over 2,300 participants and 225 teams to date!

With just under 2 weeks to go until the event, we are working our way towards another record-breaking year of support for more than 20,000 Australians, their families and carers, who are living with MS. Your help in contributing to our fundraising target of $750,000 is much appreciated.

Make your place in this year's Walk and Fun Run count by jumping on board and actively fundraising. We are here to assist you and give you all the tools and the help that you need to ensure you reach your fundraising goal!

Thank you for your continued support.

A message from the MS Events Team:

Just a quick note to congratulate you on reaching your fundraising goal for the 2010 MS Walk and Fun Run.

Your support is greatly appreciated.

But why stop now? Keep up the great work! Log-in and increase your fundraising goal today. Remember - the higher your goal, the more incentive there is for people to sponsor you to help you achieve it.

Thank everyone for your support.

Of course, just because I've reached my goal doesn't mean others can't contribute.

I believe our team is leading at the moment among the various fundraising groups and, although that wasn't our dream at the start, it's good to be out in front.

Thanks again for your support and keep the pledges coming ...

Thanks to all of you who have been so kind as to support Team Lou in our Walk/Run for MS today.

Your generosity has helped us to achieve the top spot among the teams in terms of donations collected for this extremely worthy cause.

In a couple of hour's time I'll be taking part in the 5km walk (a cold held back my preparations for the run and shattered my hopes for a last ditch palce in the Commonwealth games team).

It's still not late for you to contribute - please visit my online fundraising web page and help us reach our goal. It's quick and easy and takes no time at all. You can donate securely online using your credit card by clicking on the link below:

LEADERS OF THE PACK by The Oracle

I was asked to write a preview of this week’s Round 8 match between Melbourne and Geelong. The two clubs have a history that goes right back to the time when the game was starting to become an organised sport but it’s the present that makes the task of previewing this contest so interesting. Both clubs recently reached the pinnacle of the competition winning premiership flags in 2021 and 2022 respectively, but before the start of this season, many good judges felt their time had passed - n

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f
