Game Day: Adelaide v Melbourne

Featured Replies

We are all over them in the wet. I am liking this

The commentators think Lynden Dunn and Reiley Dunn are the same person. Do your research you fools!!

JONES!!!

Arghhh. Could have gone 7.0

Bail sounds like he's having a good game.

For these commentators to say Trengove is impressive must mean he is destroying it.

Nope. He's South Australian. Scully's been good too, but he's Victorian.

Also Rivers. He's South Australian.

Fair dinkum these guys are a certain word that rhymes with regarded.

Now called Grimes a former Docker. Rubbish.

They meant Dunn played for Freo.......fools.

Quick congratulations to Dees fans who made the trip. Pointless game, injuries galore, torrential rain... and the dees are on top.

Now called Grimes a former Docker. Rubbish.

It may be Dunn they are talking about and if so they have confused him with Riley Dunn.

It's very disturbing one of them sounds just like Eddie McGuire.

Agree! Eddie would be very disturbed by this.

"FORMER FREMANTLE DOCKER, JACK GRIMES", - who are these jokers?

Fark.. they're screaming for our young guys now!!

Make up ya freakin mind..

free kick to petterd who goals, 44-25

Edited by MelbournePassion

Apparently Bailey did a shoulder now too. Was writing too hard on his note pad.

Hahhahahahaha on fire CB!!! :)

3.7 Crows to 7.1 dees...

Petterd two goals. Crows goalless since 10 minutes into the first.

Didn't they do that to us last year? What do you think? Could we ask to play our S.A. games at Elizabeth from now on?

:D

Demons doing well except for bad shoulder injuries to Jurrah and Bell and also Newton off injured. Just before half time and crows haven't kicked a goal in the 2nd quarter and we lead by 13 points just before half time!

hahaha "first one they've paid all day! Tippett has been held all day!!"

Mind you, I did like "melbourne's play has been much better, their style has been much better and their touches have been much cleaner."

Where's your game plan now Bailey??

Oh...

It's working, so that's not really a concern.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Suns find themselves outside of the top eight for the first time since Round 1 with pressure is mounting on the entire organisation. Their coach Damien Hardwick expressed his frustration at his team’s condition last week by making a middle-finger gesture on television that earned him a fine for his troubles. He showed his desperation by claiming that Fox should pick up the tab.  There’s little doubt the Suns have shown improvement in 2025, and their position on the ladder is influenced to some extent by having played fewer games than their rivals for a playoff role at the end of the season, courtesy of the disruption caused by Cyclone Alfred in March.  However, they are following the same trajectory that hindered the club in past years whenever they appeared to be nearing their potential. As a consequence, that Hardwick gesture should be considered as more than a mere behavioral lapse. It’s a distress signal that does not bode well for the Queenslanders. While the Suns are eager to remain in contention with the top eight, Melbourne faces its own crisis, which is similarly deep-seated but in a much different way. After recovering from a disappointing start to the season and nearing a return to respectability among its peer clubs, the Demons have experienced a decline in status, driven by the fact that while their form has been reasonable (see their performance against the ladder leader in the Kings Birthday match), their conversion in front of goal is poor enough to rank last in the competition. Furthermore, their opponents find them exceptionally easy to score against. As a result, they have effectively eliminated themselves from the finals race and are again positioned to finish in the bottom half of the ladder.
