In Season 2010, the Melbourne Football Club is launching a new and exciting work experience program. The first of its kind in the AFL, it covers all aspects of life at an AFL club. Participant numbers are limited, catering for up to 30 students from around Australia.

The program will give students a unique insight into a cross-section of the inner workings of an AFL club, from media to events, football operations and all the excitement of an AFL match day. Students will also hear from a range of staff and players within the Club during the week, and gain a greater understanding of career paths that exist within the AFL.

As part of a VET course in year 12 I did a weeks work experience at St Kilda FC. Was one of the most fascinating weeks of my life.

At St.kilda it would be more "How not to run a club" wouldn't it!!

Great initiative. The perfect opportunity for those worried about the injury toll at the club, to get first hand experience of what is involved at a footy club and how quickly the club is trying their best to develop Jack Watts.

Benefits from the experience include "no more whinging!"

I got my masters two years ago but i MAY return to Uni one day. Can I come? :wub:

Great call, i'm hearin you wish it was around when i left school....

FWIW i one day hope too work for the club in some form or another (got know idea what i'll do)

As a vet that would have been a good oportunity to study the different types of animals that inhabbit our society!
