If he can do a swap, it would be wonderful if he could get number 15. It is the 'Jurrah number' in central Australia, worn by his father Leo, and by Liam at Yuendumu.

The only way we could do that is if we gave Petterd a big chat-up and told him we wanted him to wear 5 or 9.

Possible, but I wouldn't put the proverbial on the line.

It's about time somebody put number 48 on the map and I'm sure Jurrah is the man to do it. The Warlpiri Wizard is one of a kind and so is the number 48, it goes together perfectly.

If anyone is interested on SBS tonight at 10.30pm, you can watch Liam present an award with Michael O'loughlin at the Aboriginal 'Deadly Awards', which was held at the Sydney opera House on Thursday. Liam was also nominated for the 'most promising sportsman', but the Sydney centric organisers, gave it to a rugby league player instead. Still it was a terrific achievement for LJ to even be nominated.

Was going to watch it anyway, but that's good to know!

Would be good if Cog performed on it again, this time without the sound problems.

Thanks for the heads up. And yes, it is a huge achievement for a bloke that has only played a handful of games.

change to number 1 for me. High number like 48 gives the image of a unproven young player (which he is i might add) but you dont want that number your whole career.

A: It only gives that image because nobody other than Shaun Rehn has had the grapefruits to stay with a high number and make it their own.

B: Images mean nothing if the player is ripping it up.

Keep the 48 for mine. It already has such a rich history. Who can forget the power that was energised to purchase that jumper to send to Yuendumu.

Great point She Devil. That confirms #48 in my mind.

i want him to change to change to something lower but No 1 is a [censored] looking number i reckon it

just doesnt look that good like they have put some tape on the back of hes jumper! would be more than

happy too see him in 3, 5, 9, 13, 17, 24.

48 is too high and there is too many regulars wearing high numbers and its ugly. we have jamar 40 bennell 43 davey 36 jetta 39 and martin 34 who all played regular senior footy this season. i wouldnt think Petterd would give up hes No.15 to LJ unless LJ really really really wanted it.

But in saying that Ricky please if LJ wants 15 just give it to him!!!! ;)

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
