In an ideal world we would keep picks 1 & 2, but what if Roughead was available?

Hawthorn wants Sandilands, or so the papers would lead us to believe, they also want a key defender. Why can’t Melbourne get involved and get a 22 year old KP forward that will help fast track the development of both Jurrah & Watts?

Melb get: Roughead & pick 20 (Freo)

Haw get: Sandilands & pick 18 (Melb)

Freo get: Pick 2 (Melb) & Pick 25 (Haw)

Melb: In: Roughead & Pick 20.

Out: Pick 2 & Pick 18.

Could you imagine our forward line? What defence could stop that?

The last I heard, Roughead was in contract negotiations with Hawthorn. In trade talk, this makes his name the icing on the trade talk cake.

Davey & Grimes are contracted (i think), if they aren't I"d imagine that they will be attracting some trade gossip.

I'm just throwing it out there people, why can't we ship pick two for a ready made player of Roughead's calibre? If we are able to of course.
