[size=1]G'day toad. I thought exactly the same thing, he slapped the ground with his hand, out of frustration & just lay there. That was the Worst example of leadership i've seen from Robbo.

Main positives for me was that hopefully Watts learned he isnt up to it yet, and being the number 1 pick makes it harder not easier to play at this level. Ensuring he works harder on the track and takes nothing for granted.

Sylvia also a few good games in a row but now he will draw attention from opposition coaches and have to lift agian to have the same impact.

Umm other than that..........well, at least we weren't as bad as the West team in the womens football curtain raiser. I did my best as a spectator to will them on to a score. But no luck. I'm not sure who is running the womens football league, but surely they could have come up with a better matchup to showcase their league. I felt sorry for the poor girls.

Good idea! Let's pick one passage of play from each young player in our side and condemn them on that basis.

If, as supporters and critics, we allow our opinion of young players to be clouded by errors of judgement, we're doing both ourselves and them a disservice.

What about the time in the first quarter (I believe, or it could have been the third) that Cheney backed into a congested Collingwood forward line to mark over his head, without flinching?

Or the clever kick out in front of Bate to find the boundary line when there were no options ahead of him during the second half? Or the poise he showed working the ball out of defence on several occasions?

Should we just forget about those good pieces of play because he made a mistake on one occasion?

Being a critic means thinking critically - not negatively.

I agree. Thought Cheney was definitely one of our better players today in terms of endeavour, courage and commitment. He was beaten by his direct opponent on the day, but showed plenty to be excited about for the future.

We learnt how ... when you may be down on ability you can make up for it in endeavor.

Collingwood gave our boys a very good lesson today.

Very interesting ... IMHO our two worst games of the year so far have both been against Collingwood.

That should send us a message ... THIS is a tape we all need to watch many times over.

One point in the game he (cheney) kicked the ball off the ground to the boundry, dane swan ran straight passed him to get the ball and it ended up in a goal.

Cheney seems to be courageous.

Davey never stops taking the game on, as does Col, and sometimes they get caught but good on them anyway.

PJ, Bell can go back to where they belong.

I won't feel bad jettisoning our senior players after seeing how completely ineffectual they were on our most important day in the H&A fixture.

Colin Sylvia is growing in stature with every week. The way he's been playing over the past four to six weeks is a credit to his application. He's our next hero!
