He thinks we should recognise our heritage. He certainly made a point of it that when the apparel changes from asics to reebok to, etc ,etc. It just changes bit by bit, gradually over time. So, its probably on the to do list.

He made the comment that the current colour was alittel purply in a blue !! I agree. Its not the same deep blue we al love. Ought to be changed..Acutlaly the colours ought to be specified by Pantone.and NEVER fudged with. Stuff what any apparel company thinks.. WE tell them what WE want !!

Actaully what colours ( groups ) were we all in.. lol.. Me, Green.. others ? WJ pink apparently..( less said the better huh )

Feed back was mentioned by many as VERY important..I didnt even need to raise it..lol

If even just the participation of all the club from CEO and Chairman through Coaches etc being there was any guide.. this mob as a club REALLY want to make it happen. I cant say Ive felt this about Melbourne for a long long time. Despite the pic in the Hun of Barass..he seemed very enthusiastic.

Very important idea for next Summit.. COFFEE on arrival ..

Have thought of a few more things to add for the club..will sit and write them later. I encourage any and all to keep this roilling along ;)

I said earlier in the thread, I was in Blue. Can't agree more......coffee on arrival....many were having withdrawal symptoms due to lack of caffiene..

Also if they're going to organise parking.....it comes back to communication....to make sure the bollards are removed from the entrance to gate 6 off Punt Rd near RFC prior to cars arriving...maybe they could use 8:00am on a Sunday as an excuse...lol

I would have loved to have been able to get the the summit.

I still like the idea of targeting Snickers as a major sponsor, especially if the 'Demons' are well and truly brought back.

My concept here.

Clint, when you get a chance, if you haven't already done so, email the club with your concept. Having read it, alot of those ideas were discussed yesterday in my group. Casey, MCC, brand, etc. They will read it.

Somethings that I thought interesting -

Stop senior members receiving a supporter pack and use the money saved to give really excellent junior packs. Money neutral but aimed at the junior market.

Better ladies clothing, it seems to be mens styles just downsized at the moment. I know my wife complained at the shop earilier in the season.

Money is still coming in for the debt demolition, Jim said he had just received a $5000 cheque from a supporter in Perth.

Was in yellow group and boy did ideas come thick and fast.

Cale Morton is pretty tall close up, filling out a bit.

An idea put up was how do we tap into the uncommited new settlers market, maybe a local [to them] councillar to enable the MFC to enter the group. The group mentioned was the newly emergering Suddense, Eithopian and Somalian communities around the Dandenong area. Tap into those groups and our ruck problems will be over.

I agree re senior members getting new scalves and the like. I have been a member for 8 years and have too many bits and pieces, plus if i really wanted something I would buy it. Give it to the kids.

If they want to get the new immigrants in, all they have to do is turn up support group nights with some footballs, jumpers, tees whatever, especially for the kids.

All immigrants at citizenship ceremonies in the City of Casey should receive a MFC footy, footy jumper, a footy lesson at the club with their entire family (immediate that is) and a Demon membership. This is one way to get new supporters.

Something proffered by good ol' #31 and he was more than serious I reckon, was that in future all major appointments to th eMFc must be to those who actually support ( barrack) the club. From this will come passion and a real desire for success. Peoplel will have to commit beyond jobs being just jobs.

We gave him a hear-hear on that one :)

So far recent appontments have echoed this very sentiment.. funny that !! :)

It may be hard to convey this to those unable to attend but there was real optimism on Sunday . Not just lip service..oh yeah..I spose stuff but real fervour and realistic expectations that we will indeed rise again.. and get serious in this game :)

What I liked about Ronald Dale, my all time hero, was the fact that he wore a Che Guevara T shirt in the Long Room of the MCC. Talk about not being frightened to confront reality (or do I mean unreality)!

Yeah, I think I'd have to agree with him about the idea of people having passion for the club in responsible positions. You can feel it when Cameron Schwab and Chris Connolly talk about the club but it never showed out with Steve Harris (who was a St. Kilda supporter before he joined us) or Paul McNamee (Essendon). I'm not saying that they weren't committed to their jobs but that the passion was never translated into the way they appeared to me when speaking about the club.

Not such a left-field idea as it may first seem Roost. In fact an excellent idea with some precedent.

I happen to work for 'a department that welcomes new citizens to our country' and have organised and attended citizenship ceremonies hosted by the Dogs, the Dons and the Pies this year.

On each occasion there were key players in attendance who handed out the wattles and the eucalypts but just as importantly shook hands with all the kids and gave them showbags full of club merch and membership information. Plus free games tickets.

The run-through at the Pies v Swans game at the Telstra Dome late this season was led by two young kids kitted out in Pies jumpers who were refugees from Iran.

Guess which team they're going to support. And you can add a couple of adult memberships off the bat. I've never seen such proud parents.

An initiative most definitely worth pursuing.

Thought of a good idea...: well I think so anyway.... If the mfc and mcc forge a relationship again, how about if you are a mfc member when you join the waiting list your years count as double as long as you stay a mfc member... Maybe they have to stay a mfc mcc member for five years after they join the mcc as well which gets them in the habit of having two memberships. It would save about nine years from becoming a mcc member

This idea was proposed on Sunday Roost. Its a good idea IMO.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
