If you are de-listed. Are you still on the club's primary list?

OR

Straight to the point! Can you trade a player you have de-listed?

You must answer both question's. Thanks!

I don't reckon your delisted till the lists are submitted to the AfL.

But clubs tell players that they will delist those who aren't required.

The players are not officially delisted until Friday 31 October (2.00pm) - CLUB LIST LODGEMENT LIST 1.

Trade week, as you should know, occurs next week. As it falls before 31 October, they may be traded.

May I now direct you to the other thread in which you were debating this and inform you that you owe me $50,000 as well as owing another poster $10,000.

Thankyou in advance for your co-operation in transferring your outstanding debt into my bank account.

No problem.

PS. No one on a list this year will be delisted until after trade week.

Yes, you can. For example MFC has delisted White. If 2 clubs want him, to ensure his services they would do a deal with the MFC, other wise White wolud just go into the draft and go to the first team to draft him. I hope this helps!

You'll find that all player contracts expire on the 31st October, which is the date when the official club lists need to be finalised. Players that are delisted then have the opportunity to nominate for the draft.

Yze and White have been told that their contracts won't be renewed but haven't been officially delisted by the club. Melbourne still have the right to trade them if they desire.

No, you can't.

However, we can trade White.

We haven't delisted White.

If White was delisted, we couldn't trade him.

Therefore, White's not delisted.

PS. Amusing topic.

A player is not de-listed until lists are submitted on 31st October, with a second list lodgement on 14 Nov. White & Yze (& Bode & Weetra) are delisted in the sense that they have been told they will not be in the playing lists submitted in Oct & Nov.

They can thus be traded in trade week: Oct 6 - Oct 10.

dee tention. can you take the week off posting on this forum? you are really starting to detract from everyone elses enjoyment of the place.

and that goes for any of you who feel the need to write 30 posts each day, answer every topic 5 times, reply to your own threads and posts repeatedly and argue with people when you have no idea and the other person clearly does. oh and if you have started more than 3 threads on the first page of messages you are wasting everyones space and time.

just because you thought something, doesnt make you right. give it up. all of you. and stop posting rubbish.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was
