There was an incident, in the 4th quarter i believe, where he ran right through a player who was going to ground. I'm a big fan of his, but i won't be surprised if he gets a week or two for it. (Especially given the match review panels record)

What does everyone else think?

I didn't see it so I can't say. It'd be a shame if he got suspended; he's coming into some good form.

i did see it and thought the same when i saw it. shud get off though

it's a NO from me !!!!

That's funny, I didn't think any Eagles except Wilkes, got close enough to a Demon to be involved in a tackle.

probably the accidental result of trying to evade one demon.. runs into another..!!:lol::lol::rolleyes:

Very sharp observation Redleg.

I think Beau Wilkes should be reported for head-butting Jamar in the bread basket

We had more tackles at half time (37) than WCE had for the entire game (35). Says it all really.

Yep. Too agile and quick for the Weagles.

Nonsense. They weren't trying.

Is that the one on Priddis?

If so, yes, I agree that Wheels could be in trouble.

It wasn't Priddis, it was Nicoski if we're thinking of the same one. And he's got nothing to worry about.

Nicoski had the ball and Whelan decided to bump instead of tackling and knocked the stuffing out of him on the Southern stand side wing. There was no free kick, the ball spilled out and Whelan won possession. Nicoski spent a few minutes on the deck, trainers came over to him, then i think the quarter finished.

I thought it was fantastic, it was legal and a good hard bump. Nothing wrong with making a player feel it as long as it's within the rules.

Match Review Panel has already sat and he hasn't been sighted.

The one I was referring to was when Priddis got a head-high bump on the left 50 flank in front of the Olympic Stand. Priddis hand-balled it to Lynch, who then stuffed it up.

I'm 99% sure that's the one i'm thinking of. It didn't look massively malicious but given their history on head-high contact i wouldn't be surprised to see him go for it and if it's the difference between 1 week or a reprimand, i's say we take the week rather than have the points hanging over his head.

Nothing was mentioned on Ch.10 sports report.

And you'd be happy to know Jamar does not have a case to answer for standing still while a player head- butted his stomach

Wouldn't have been surprised if Maric got 3 weeks for "pushing" him into Jamar, like what happened with that Carlton bloke

If there was one bloke from our team you could guarantee landing a heavy yet legal hit it'd be the Wrecker.

(I'm sure James Hird would agree).

On form and commitment atm, let him mentor the emerging backline in the finer arts of defensive play for as long as he's got the motor.

Hard at it back-men kill opposition goals.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
