  1. Past hour
  2. Anyone who thinks May should play forward have rocks in their head, could you imagine how many goals Freo would’ve kicked with Petty & Turner as key backs. Tmac unfortunately will have to go forward, l feel for him because he’s been really good down back. Petty & Turnover back to Casey until the deserve to get back in (in defence) McAdam back to Casey also These three are useless at the moment along with Hunter
  3. Today
  4. I don’t rate him at all
  5. I’d go a bit more and set up for a longer stint of success. Mini rebuild for me. 2-3 top 20 draft picks, one of LDU, McCluggage (both would be awesome) and to reinforce our midfield. Id trade a few players too - Oliver and Petty would definitely get us at least 2 possibly 3 Round 1 picks. Sounds a bit over reactionary but this list cannot play the modern football style. It was built a decade ago by Roos and co in a style that has now changed and we didn’t.
  6. This seems logical. We need to get back to our brand of contest/defence. Can't expect our forwards to fire when we can't even get it in there.
  7. Yeah he walked. From the outside looking in it doesn't seem like we did much to keep him though. To think he is getting game time in Sydney's midfield, of all teams - kind of puts it into perspective. Gus hurts but irrespective our midfield stocks are way too thin going forward IMO. To my mind it is a biproduct of Gawn Trac, Oliver being so dominant at the CB in years gone by and a football ideology which simply doesn't value quick transition between the arcs. Listening to Nathan Brown (who I rate as a good football brain and impartial) on MMM he suggested McVee to the midfield. Not the worst suggestion I've heard.
  8. Interesting to me that Goodwin acknowledged that our inconsistency and poor form has been going on all year, not just the last 4 weeks. Good to hear him admit it. Worrying to know we’ve been unhappy with our form all year and it’s getting worse rather than better.
  9. How good was he realistically going to be today when we had 35 inside 50s, 31 fewer than Fremantle? There’s an important discussion to have about Petty but IMO it’s not the priority. The priority is the other two thirds of the ground.
  10. Yes i know. Other Clubs can make those big trades come off. We just cannot crack it
  11. Would love both and they would make a difference.
  12. They forgot to click the "refresh" button.
  13. Pretty sure I said it wouldn’t bother me if we dropped Petty instead. One of the problems with Tomlinson is that he offers very little positional flexibility and since he did his ACL in 21, seems only capable of playing 1 good game in the seniors followed by a mare or two.
  14. What can that message be though? Supposedly Goodwin is like a father to all the players, what just happened in the last 6 months? Btw, is this related to Angus stepping down from his position at the club post forced retirement?
  15. Incredibly Sportsbet have Demons as slight favourites. I suspect that will change.
  16. Who they replaced them with wasn’t my point. I’ve mentioned this before but we had a crack at Harry McKay last off season.
  17. speaking with my sister earlier we think that the players were possibly sending a message to the club. it has a 186 feel to it.
  18. Can anyone tell me why Laurie was given a 2 year deal?
  19. Yep agree. Grundy is an excellent fwd and would have kicked a bag today
  20. I can’t help but feel the club has decided that Clarry struggling on the field is preferable to him struggling off it.
  21. To me - a major issue is Clarry going from the best player in the league to not even in the top 100. He extracted everything and made everyone look good. it’s far from the only issue but but he nowhere near his level. Even in his first year he got the contested ball. give him the year off to get right?
  22. from memory it was about a month opening round shocking timing
  23. Considering our list, last 3 seasons including 1 flag and two other top 4 finishes (the back to back straight set exits were hard to swallow) today for me is on par with 186. Today’s result was more than embarrassing, we are a joke of a club right now. Our last 3 weeks says a lot, beaten by the Eagles, a scrappy win over the hapless Saints and today’s destruction at the hands of Freo. As alluded to by others there’s something not right inside the club right now because we are obviously not as bad as we’re playing. Todays lack of effort was a statement by the players, todays loss requires more than just a review of the game. If Goody has lost the players he has to go straight away, we are currently spiraling out of control. Look at how many players Collingwood had out on Friday night and look at how the played, speaks volumes. Absolutely no excuses, none.
  24. Good try but def no BBB please. He is cooked.
  25. You forgot to give a vote for - Meg Macdonald, she played an awesome game.
