Went into cruise control after half time, to play 3 quarters of footy and beat Port in away by 40 is amazing. Great win, bring on the dismal Blues!

A few things that I absolutely loved: Gawn work around the ground, some of the contested marking was amazing we actually beat up the Hawks, that team has intimidated us for too many years Jack Watts and his new found Mongrel, went after Mitchell, went for contested balls, bull dozed his way through packs Viney and Jones such an awesome afternoon, bring on the Power!

Some bull shite freed have gone against us but you get them when you have won 3 flags in a row, the intensity and pressure is amazing, Petracca is going to be an absolute super star in a couple of years. Bring on the second half!

The way they play football is amazing, such pride in the jumper, they have their 6 best players out and are still going hell for leather, imagine we had Jones, Vince, Viney etc out of the team. Love the way they go about it

if you cannot kick the football accurately you shouldn't be playing AFL football, our backline is our greatest weakness, the defensive pressure from the mids and forwards was out standing, all the good work out back 6 did was let down by disposals. It's the same guys every week, you can sugar coat it and paint me with any brush you want, you need good kickers in the back line, we have some of our worst kicks there. Don't get defense Bing, we're all passionate supporters here.

So it's all the forwards fault, nothing to do with the high long bombs into 7 defenders? Yeah you totally get football mate, well played, there's a lot more to defense then just spooling a ball, offence can be created from the backline, accurate kicking to guys in space which opens the ground up for the forward to run to. You cannot have 4 bad kickers in the back line and expect to win games......

Spot on mate, Jonno Brown said on the couch a few weeks back, that to be a really good team you need to have you best kicks in the back line, we currently have, T Mac, Harmes, Wagner and Hunt, rotating through there, although three of them are young they don't fill you with confidence when they have the ball on their hands. H and Salem would help. We really need to trade and draft some quality backs with good foot skills over the preseason. Bernie does go back but he was on one leg on Sunday, he shouldn't of played

The venom Viney was spitting at Toovey was amazing, blokes that like make your team mates walk taller. Viney was into Taylor Adams all day, Adams was smashed today, another bloke who wouldn't even consider talking to us when he wanted out of GWS

I was the anti social bloke at a mates BBQ watching the game on the Gold Coast, a mates son watched the whole last quarter with me and asked who number 7 was, I said Jack Viney, after the game asked his dad can he get a Jack Viney jersey, we're on the Melbourne football club ordering a jersey now for him! Little steps but this big beautiful club is Coming back to life!!! Great win
