Two weeks ago Ted Richards was on the Sunday morning footy show on channel 7, he was asked about Lewis Johnston(traded by Swans to the Crows). Ted's reply was along the lines off "didn't want to buy in, commit to training, didn't comply to the work ethic and standards set by others". Not sure if Roos or Horse was coaching when he was traded but that sounds like to me the culture that Roos installed in his players, the culture we want him to install at the Demons.

The players will be made to understand now that we won't be bent over with regards to contracts. The days of cashing in are over.

In terms off money we should have heaps to throw around, if he stays he should be forced to take a hefty cut. If he leaves to play finals he will be playing for less anyway because clubs won't justify big dollars for him. We could match any offer, comes down to commitment. If Paul Roos is not good enough for him or he's trying to play hardball it might be time to say goodbye.

I've actually tried to watch a bit of him in recent weeks due to our need for a small forward. From what I've seen he is inconsistent at times in front of goal, come to think of it so is Cloke and Jack and Nick R. I will be watching their final against the Tigers, want to see what he can offer in a big game against a flimsy opposition.
