I don't think many people forget that at all but as u mentioned in my previous post we need to fix our own culture issues/problems first before we take on new ones.
-
I must of missed something, we still have arguably the worst culture. How can it not be, it hasn't just magically changed because he took the job. How many speeches has Roos given the playing group as a whole? I'm guessing none. It's going to take time. There is a big difference in bringing someone like Martin into a club with an established and one like ours where the whole club is getting overhauled. I'm glad Roos will have a senior assistant because with all these people that will need his attention he won't have much time left for coaching.

How about Chris Dawes for Captain
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Dees2014's topic in Melbourne Demons
Dawes has shown leadership in the games he played for us this year but if there is to be a change it must go to Jones. He's been busting his arse since arriving. -
We went for Toumpas last year , as you have said.... Time to add more grunt.

Potential Forward Line 2014
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Vanilla Gorilla's topic in Melbourne Demons
In a perfect world he will recover fully then stay and play for less as his current 4 year contract has set him up bloody nicelely. -
This is purely a guess but Mitch would be on more. I don't think he's worth that much. If are serious lets offer Kieran Jack 700k when he is out of contract. Proven big game players. I know we need mids but we need to be better than this. We need to aim to be a club where players stay/come to for less. I have already said that Roos hasn't built the culture yet, lets target 4qtr players.

Don't want him, would rather spend money elsewhere. Roos hasn't built the culture yet.

Potential Forward Line 2014

What happens when the ball hits the ground? -
My tigers mate thinks he has been approached by the hawks. Buddy leaving frees up the dollars, Hodge, Mitchell and Sewell all pushing 30.
-
He is going to the Hawks. Lock it in.

MFC's Virgin Australia Film Festival Video
Bombay Airconditioning replied to PartyTimeJohnny's topic in Melbourne Demons
As you say "the pure joy in his laugh" as we'll as his excitement when running out onto the field with Jack. Watching Sam read his letter, I can't begin to imagine what he would feel like asking for help just so his son had something nice on his birthday. As for the club, they could have easily bundled up some stuff and post if to Adelaide, what they did was bloody awesome. -
MFC's Virgin Australia Film Festival Video

I've watched it four times today and its rolled me every time. I think too many people myself included take too much for granted. -
I don't agree, being a good player/great leader doesn't guarantee he will be a great tactician.

Jack Watts Sunday Footy Show
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Demon_Tingles's topic in Melbourne Demons
How much is he worth? He is on the verge of breaking out. Or has he been overpaid already? -
They must maintain a top 8 and not go to a final 10 scenario. I actually thought 18 teams would spread the talent pool too thin. But the competition is evening out nicely.

Some "Wines" mature early!
Bombay Airconditioning replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
I get your point but I actually meant lets revisit the Wines/Toumpas comparison in 2-3 years. I was using the the Watts/Nik Nat as an example. Although Watts has to work on certain aspects of his game and we are all aware of what they are, he is slowly closing the gap on Natanui. -

After watching the replay will Wines think he should off shot the handball out rather than take on the pack? I'm not p##sing on Wines as I said I think he will be a great player. He's only 18, Port has had a amazing year and set the bar for themselves. -

I didn't say star as I think that tag is thrown around to often. I said I think he will be a great player. No I'm not a clairvoyant I'm wrong plenty of times. I haven't seen all the games he played this year but from what I have seen there has been good and bad. We know he has good disposal. Because we've been down for so long we want all our draft picks to impact games straight away. Geelong and Collingwood have built environments that allow young talent to come in and find their feet. -
Ports motto from the start of the year "never give up" says it all.
-
Think your right mate, slightly left the ground and the precedent has been set.
-
Next year is going to be a ripper. Port on the rise, Kanga's will be up and about, GC to improve further, GWS over second year blues plus will have Buddy. Eagles and Crows seeking redemption, Bombers out to prove a point. Tigers for mine will slide out of the eight, Blues to actually take part in trade week, I'm interested to see who the Hawks pick up, has Dusty signed with Tigers yet? Hawks offering similar $$, a more competitive Demon outfit playing accountable footy slowly bringing the crowds back to level 2 of the Southern Stand.

There's been some p##sweak decisions. Chappy's bump was pointless.

Bombay Airconditioning replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
From what I've seen Wines has had an average night. He's been caught a lot with the ball and the stats say no effective tackles??(can't be right). He's had a massive year and is going to be a great player as will Jimmy T. As with Watts lets revisit this in 2-3 years. -
Time to sack the Richmond Board
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
They should be looking to sack who ever gave Jack Reiwoldt a 600k contract. Goes missing when needed most.
