  1. JT? Anything from him is a bonus. I'm not getting my hopes up. I've moved on rightly or wrongly from a few on on the list.
  2. Redleg I was referring to who's out that's been there the last couple of weeks. Games v North/Pies etc. team stability should be good.
  3. Yes but it's not like we have 4-5 players out. While Tyson had a great game last week he's been down on last years form. Part of development or coming of age requires us to not miss a beat with players out. We beat the cats without Hogan. But I will acknowledge we have no depth. We run out today with players who still can't do the games basics.
  4. A hawthorn player did the "tunnel ball" last night.
  5. Who's out of the side that hasn't been out for weeks as it is? Very winnable game although we're still carrying players who can't dispose of the footy. I keep hearing about Stringer and Redpath, what about our fwds. No excuses at all today.
  6. Well what would people give Fitzy? 1 or 2 years? Depending on cost?
  7. We beat the Cats with a few big names playing. Still a big chance. No room for complacency as the Doggies won't go away.
  8. Tigers play Pies, Bombers, North after tomorrow. I think Pies might role them. Then the North game may determine who makes it.
  9. Leppa coaching for his career. Barker doing what he's told.
  10. Those that would keep Toumpas. 1 - Why haven't we offered him a contract yet? 2 - I thought we were no longer in the business of giving players 5-6 years to to reach basic levels in fundamentals of the game.
  11. Hird is a mess. His arrogance is deafening. Just go. The club has a long way to go.
  12. Out - Garland, Howe, Grimes, Michie, M Jones. And there we have the making of a team.
  13. We don't need both Howe and Garland. If Howe stays, great, Garland can go.
  14. Youre right, Newton, Riley and Michie have disappointed but at least we tried. Last week we ran out with Grimes/Michie/Jones, were we effectively 3 men down? A true sign that this club has turned the corner will be if it offloads Toumpas at the end of the year. We employed McCartney to develop players and in conjunction with Goodwin make the tough calls on players. If Toumpas doesn't possess the basics now move him on before it's too late. No more Grimes's disposal is coming good after 6 years only to butcher it again the following week. The Hawks are playing a kid by the name of Daniel Howe over the weekend. He's getting a game over Hartung, Litherland, Schoenmakers and others. They don't wait until they're playing the Brisbane Lions, they are playing him against an inform Geelong. I hope he's not sub. They are going to see if he can perform against quality. I would much rather offload as much dead wood as we can and bring in another batch of players in the hope we unearth someone or find the next VB. There's enough spots on the list to justify one or two a year, on two year contracts. Keep rotating them through, offer them minimum contracts.
  15. The only linking of Buddy to Sydney publicly was an old lady that rang KB and called it months out. I remember the day she rang him back after the fact. What's not to say Prestia has been our smokescreen.
  16. Dazzle, no doubt Doggies are a exciting/skilful/ attacking side that have a bright future ahead of them. Plus Libba was injured all year. All I'm saying is anything can happen.
  17. Pies/Doggies next powerhouse sides? Do you mean like Port this time last year? A lot has to go right, and as we've seen it can quite easily turn to shite in the blink of an eye.
  18. Changes to the starting 18 are still possible. Grimes out. Cross to the wing. Salem to the back flank. Bench - Angus, Harmes, ANB, Stretch People want Michie out after a few games, fair enough. I want Grimes out after a few years. Cut the crap, move on, play the future.
