Delistings/trades at end of the season
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
I posted the other day R-Jay that moving all five is unlikely and that I would keep Watts out of the five. If we were to secure Lynch we would have 3 mobile fwd options. But as you have said "never say never". None of us know what Goodwin is thinking. -
Delistings/trades at end of the season
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes. I think Roos showed us last year with Trengove that no one is safe. Roos keeps talking about the past and those that can't get over it. Like it or not Roos/Goodwin will/should have on their list Watts Howe Garland Dawes Grimes What's scary is what would we realistically get for any of them?? Would any other team take Dawes or Grimes? I can see Howe,Garland and possibly Watts gone this trade period. Dawes and Grimes can see our their careers at Casey or accept a revised payout. After the weekend the thought that they're worth more to us than to trade or delist is now officially dead and buried. -
Tom Lynch (Adelaide Crows)

And what a message that would send. If we could secure Lynch early in the piece, tell Dawes its in his best interest to find another club or he's played his last game of AFL. -

Will he be dropped.... -
Well if he has go away and sort it out. And I mean a real problem not Jack Watts whole career has been ruined by playing on QB when he wasn't ready or Jack Grimes can't dispose of the ball after 7 years on the list because he was made captain to early type of problem. I cant wait until they are gone from this club and we can move forward. As for suffering mentally, I personally think that's crap, if that's the case leave now, not the end of the season, right now. It's simple Chris, they don't care. If they did they wouldn't be here.

How would they cope if they had a real problem.....
-
Your right and in the best interest of the players we can trade them out. Starting with Howe, Grimes, Dawes and Garland.I'd hate to see them suffer any longer.
-
Have we forgotten Trengove nearly out the door to Richmond last year. That caught everyone off guard, we approached Prestia and got knocked back now we've approached Lynch. The coaches aren't stupid, they are trying(unlike half the players) but we're competing with 17 other clubs.

Tom Lynch (Adelaide Crows)

Some good points so if we have offered him 4 years what do we do with Dawes next year?I can't honestly think of another team that would want him. -
We're finally taking a stand....about bloody time. No more overpaying hacks. What a concept. No more Dawes deals.
-
Yeah, fair point.

Well we would like something of worth in return.

Sorry I'm tired and have missed something. Are GWS and Sydney jumping over us due to academy players or because they will trade out players for picks? -

Great post, the only thing left is the players. The sooner we move them on the quicker we turn the ship around. -
Do we know where he's going?

Its an interesting one, my mate who's involved with the TAC says their are 5-6 key position players which could go anywhere in the top 15-20 picks based on a clubs needs.Lions - will go KP Blues - will go KP (might lose Kruzer and Hendrrson) Suns - no idea Bombers - MID (have plenty of book ends) Demons - MID Just say we do loose our 2 round pick for Lynch. What do we get for Howe? Where is Howe going.....Giants/Brisbane/Suns?? We want a mid in return. -

What more can he do, the players were meant to take ownership, that has failed again. It's the kids busting their guts. Hats of to Luke Beverage but the foundation was laid by McCartney. I recall certain Bulldog players not liking his honest appraisal of their performances, I wonder how honest our coaching panel will be this year. Look at Frawley at Hawthorn and how highly rated he was here. A lot of our senior players are overrated. -
The players don't want to make a statement, so hopefully the coaches do. I want big names on the trade table, as I've mentioned earlier wouldn't be too fussed on what we get its all about freeing up cap space.

The Keith "Bluey" Truscott Memorial Trophy - 2015
Bombay Airconditioning replied to a topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm bloody serious. How much does this night cost? What's to celebrate? Quick let's organise another team bonding session at Sorrento. What happened to the players taking owning ownership? We are a mess.
