  1. The coaches are clearly seeing something with Sharp that I'm not. I'd much rather give Laurie a run.
  2. Melk played a blinder that night! Kicked four goals and took that cracking mark in the final minutes to bring the margin to within a goal.
  3. If all goes well with his recovery, I could see him pushing for Salem's role in 2026.
  4. Looks like it's finally clicked for Cadman. Good for him, it's exciting to see. Hopefully Jeffo takes a leaf or two out of his book.
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seemed as though The DeeBrief guys were having a crack at Goody for not playing Nathan Jones in the GF. Didn't NJ leave the Perth hub during the '21 grand final week to be with his wife who was about to give birth to twins? Also, while I agree that change is desperately needed, can we please never consider Nathan Buckley as the coach of the Melbourne Football Club ever again?
  6. Fully expecting an underdone Spargo coming off an injury recall over someone like Laurie. I wouldn't be against seeing Kentfield get a run on the seniors but Jeffo needs more time to find his feet.
  7. Kozzie aside, we desperately need more scoreboard impact from our smaller forwards. The stats are a bit grim Chandler: 11 goals from 16 games (granted he's stepped into more of a midfield role of late) Sharp: 8 goals from 13 games Tholstrup: 2 goals from 7 games Henderson: 2 goals from 5 games Spargo: 1 goal from 9 games Even Petracca's scoreboard impact has dried up in the past month.
  8. Based on that, he'll fit right in.
  9. 6. Turner 5. May 4. Viney 3. Melksham 2. Pickett 1. Rivers
  10. I mentioned it earlier, but his confidence looked shot towards the end of the game. I think we have to persist for the remainder of the season and hope he's able to string together some form and confidence to take into the off-season.
  11. I was all for giving Jeffo the rest of the season to develop in the seniors but wowza, he is nowhere near ready. His intent and desire is questionable at best and he's constantly being pushed off the ball by defenders. His confidence looked shot at the end of the game.
  12. Haha, only we could concede that goal.
  13. What does Laurie have to do to get a consistent run in the seniors (and not as sub)? I've watched Casey a bit this season and he's always accumulating good numbers and having an impact. He's exactly what we need at half forward at the moment and he can give us a point of difference in the midfield. He's signed for 2026, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's elsewhere next season.
  14. Barring any further injury, I'd say that looks like Lever and JVR straight in for Howes and Petty. I'd actually like to see Jed Adams get a shot in the seniors before recalling Lever.
  15. Hope he turns out to be a decent pick up for us, but our recent history in signing category B/former basketball players has been questionable at best. Kyah Farris-White was struggling to get a game with the Casey seconds team by the end of his time with us.
  16. Tapscott was more than serviceable in his first season when he played as a back pocket with his booming kick and physicality. Neeld thought he was more suited to a defensive half forward role which ended up killing his career. I think Kolt will be a serviceable player for us. Hopefully he (along with Windsor, Jefferson and co), put in the work during the off season. We're going to be asking a lot from them next year if moving back up the ladder is going to be on the cards.
  17. Kicks goals for fun in the VFL. 89 goals from 39 VFL games. Would love it if we had a look at him.
  18. No TMac? Wow I guess Petty goes to defence with Jeffo coming in?
  19. While I agree that Windsor has been played out of position, I think his disposal has fallen off over the last month and it looks like he's struggling to run out games (hence the sub selection a couple of weeks ago). I think a few weeks at Casey will be good for him. Lever on the other hand should never have been recalled over TMac. Hopefully the latter gets his chance back on the seniors this weekend.
  20. Celebration time!
  21. Lever was much improved yesterday. Starting to work his way back into some form. I'd rotate Petty into defence and give Disco an extended run in the forward line.
  22. Tend to agree. While Daicos was mostly ineffectual, tagging him took out the run and carry that Langdon usually provides. Robbing Peter to pay Paul I guess.
  23. Free kicks 15 to 24 Edit - 20 to 29. AFL app just updated
  24. 6. Gawn 5. Bowey 4. May 3. Turner 2. McVee 1. Petracca
  25. May to his credit showed some flair after quarter time. Lever is playing as if he's still on one ankle. Petty is a liability in the forward line and was repeatably beaten by Caminiti (who might be one of the softer players I've seen at AFL level).
