I think Spargo may surprise a few next year provided his achilles heel is no longer his achilles heel. We missed his entries inside 50 this season.
  4. I'd be more concerned about his proclivity for striking people during games.
  5. Braydon Preuss delisted by GWS. Ironic how he moved for more opportunities yet he played more games for us as a back up ruck during his two year tenure than he did over four years at the Giants.

Happy to give this guy a crack considering the lack of established options coming into trade period. What would GWS want for him?

Nice to know that things are progressing, but it still seems like there's still at least a minimum two year wait until construction starts (that is if this next stage in the process gets the all clear). Caulfield is a substantial improvement over Casey, but I still wish we were given the go ahead to redevelop Gosch's to include our own facilities instead.

Windsor and Reid would be an exciting young midfield combo.

I'd rather Kennedy out of the Blues camp but he might be an improvement over the likes of Billings and Spargo.

Martin has struggled with injuries since moving to Carlton and hasn't played a full AFL season since 2017 which is all I think we need to know. He'll be picked up, but I think he's more likely to go west at this point.
  11. Absolute no brainer. Tommy just played his most consistent season since arguably 2018. With Tomlinson likely St Kilda bound, Adams still developing and Turner's new role in the forward line we need all the tall defensive depth we can muster. This will also give him a decent chance at 250 games next year as well which would be a terrific achievement and well deserved.
  12. Obviously can't complain regarding our premierships (both AFL and AFLW), but the fact that we haven't started construction let alone have a set location for a home base remains a huge disappointment.
  13. This game is not over
  14. I watched a snippet from the poddy that 'The Deebrief' published on their socials and poor Robbo looked like he was going to burst into tears when he mentioned how much he and other supporters are hurting.

Despite his 'so-so' season, I'd rather get more games into Bowey who I think would offer more in the long term.
  16. Nothing against Tommo should he looks for more opportunities elsewhere. He played some great footy in the opening couple of months of our premiership year before he went down with his ACL. Random fact. Even though he only played 40 odd games in 5 years with us, Tommo was a starter in every one of our season opening matches since he joined at the end of 2019.
  17. With Schache and Farris-White delisted, BBB retired and Tomlinson likely to depart, our depth on the talls department is taking a serious hit this off season. Hopefully Jefferson and Adams come on next season.
  18. John Noble has requested a trade out of Collingwood. Any takers?
  19. You'd think that whoever doesn't get the nod of no.1 ruck between Xerri and Gawn gets a spot on the bench at the bare minimum. Both have had terrific years.
  20. Gawn - Best and Fairest
  21. I agree with the sentiment that he's looked disinterested at times during the last couple of months. Saying that, I can't say our slow ball movement and abysmal forward 50 entries have helped Fritsch much in the second half of the season. Looked on track for another 50+ goal season at around round 10-11. Officially a five-time leading goalkicker of MFC. Equals Fred Fanning and is now only behind Neitz (seven-time leading goalkicker).
  22. 6. McDonald 5. Gawn 4. Chandler 3. Salem 2. Rivers 1. Billings
  23. I can think of three instances over the last 4 or 5 years where play has been stopped and Melbourne has featured in all of them.
  24. 2025 is definitely make or break for Woey. Not sure what his strengths are.
  25. We're well on top so far this quarter. Entries inside 50 are still killing us.
