This game reminded me of the Adelaide game in 2018 when we spanked them by 90 points only the shoe was on the other foot this time around. I was happy to give McAdam a month or so to find his feet in the side, but he looks nowhere near AFL standard at the moment.
-
Short passes to leading forwards please. Ryan, Clark and Pearce will gobble up any high entries.
-
I really rate this guy. Versatile and reliable defender who can also play forward if need be. Makes you wonder where Tomlinson will play his footy in '25 if we're looking at Battle.
-
6. Gawn 5. Tomlinson 4. McDonald 3. ANB 2. Salem 1. Petracca
-
Credit to Lachie Hunter. Thought he was pretty good today.
-
Another injury update, another week of Charlie Spargo being listed as 2-3 weeks away from selection.
-
I imagine Tomlinson will be recalled before we bury the Petty forward experiment. JVR (provided he's recalled) will play 20-25% ruck which will leave us too short in the F50 without Petty.
-
6. ANB - Never stopped trying 5. Oliver - Our only midfielder who seemed to get his hands on the ball consistently 4. Pickett - Always exciting to watch. 3. Salem - Decent return from injury. 2. Petracca - Had some good moments but went missing for large portions of the game. 1. Fritsch - Our only winner in the forward 50
-
IN: JVR, Tomlinson, Langdon OUT: Brown, Lever, Billings Wouldn't be surprised if we also see Tholstrup back in the side either. Maybe even a Sestan debut.
-
I'd consider giving Sestan a run in the seniors before Jefferson. Has made some good strides this year.
-
He's been an absolute gun over the journey but I genuinely feel as though his heart isn't in it anymore.
-
I really like JVR having a crack in the ruck, but surely it's time we bring in Fullerton as a proper back up. JVR was torn apart by Pittonet and De Koning whenever Max went off. In: Fullerton, McAdam (if fit) Out: Turner (unlucky but has now played two average games in a row), Billings (poor recent form although he had a good last quarter).
-
Can anyone clarify if Bowey was injured or if he was simply a tactical sub? If the latter, surely Turner, Petty or JVR would've been a better option to take off considering the conditions? On that note, I thought Woewodin showed a bit when he came on. Nine touches in the final quarter.
-
McAdam and Bowey in for Laurie and Woewodin if they're good to go. Billings dropped to sub.
-
6. Lever 5. May 4. Gawn 3. Fritsch 2. Oliver 1. Windsor
-
21 marks and 49 disposals (at an average of 90% efficiency) between May and Lever tonight. Also, along with TMac, kept Cameron and Hawkins to 0.4
-
Caleb Windsor is unreal. Must be a shoe in for a rising Star nomination this week.
-
Of course it's Daicos. McKay's turnover a huge moment.
-
Outside the ground and there's a very light shower at the moment.
-
I'd rather keep Schache for another year.
-
Poor Spargs is clearly struggling with that Achillies injury. He's been listed as 3-4 weeks away since round 2.
-
Easy one to forget, but Daniel Cross gave us two very good years in 14-15.
-
Clohesy looks a serious prospect for GC.
-
Beautiful tapwork from Fullarton and Sestan kicks a third to go with his 17 touches.

Interesting to see that Fraser Rosman is currently lining up for Port Melbourne.
