POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Interesting to note that in his post-match interview, Maxy spoke about him and the likes of the 'older brigade' including McDonald and Melksham rocking up for day one of pre-season. Maybe a tentative confirmation that both TMac and Melky are going around again?

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Aside from his missed shot at HT, I think it was the best game he's played all year.

Who’s Playing Their Last Game In The Red & Blue tonight?
Please tell me we didn't give Sharp a long term contract when we traded for him? Genuinely stunned he's managed to play 17 games this year.

The Tahj & Kai White thread
From looking at an old 'potential father son' article on the Melbourne website, the White twins should both be 14 now. If they both want to go down that road, they'll be drafted in 2029.

Rivers. Must. Play. Midfield

POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Our fourth quarters continue to be our achilles heel. Langford is a gem. Long, long pre-season ahead.

AMW, Mentha and Culley Sign on as Rookies for 2026
I could see all three in our starting 22 next year. AMW would likely be playing now if he hadn't injured his ACL and Mentha could fill the small forward void inside 50 while Kozzy plays more midfield time. Culley could be anything.

PREGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Billings is out of contract at the end of this season. I think we've seen the last of him.

PREGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
I imagine that if McDonald and Melksham were retiring, it would've been announced by now so they could both be given a fitting tribute at the end of the match. Hopefully both play on next season.

PREGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Wow, uninspiring to the max. It would've been a great opportunity to give the likes of Laurie, Brown or even Kentfield or Mentha a go considering Casey have a bye this weekend. Everyone has checked out. What a drag of a year.

The Mitch McGovern Thread
Missed out on selection in Carlton's final game of the year, which means he won’t hit the automatic trigger for an extra year at the Blues. Carlton can still offer him a new deal but is this one we should potentially look at? Mature body and can be played at either end of the ground. Tmac is no certainty to go around again next season and May's powers are dwindling. I've never been a huge fan but he could be a handy in-between while the likes of JVR, Jeffo and Adams continue to learn their craft.

Petty is definitely improving.
His last three weeks have probably been the best he's played since his late 2023 hot patch when he booted six against the Tiges. I still think his best position is defence, but I wouldn't be upset if we persist with him up forward next season.

CASEY: Rd 21 vs Box Hill Hawks
Is Sinnema eligible to be drafted this year or next? Sounds like a good prospect.

POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
Disappointing performance. Very little spirit in that showing. Would Sparrow get a game in any other best 22? Has been coasting for years now.

Cam Bruce to Melbourne?
Bruce has been huge for Brisbane over the last couple of years. Melbourne connection aside, this would be a fantastic acquisition.
-
What's Collingwood ever done for Melbourne?
Genuinely looked the part during the first 2/3rds of 2016 before he disappeared off of the face of the Earth. Never got a look in during 2017 under Goodwin for whatever reason before he was delisted.

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
Tend to agree. Jai is a much more versatile player as well. He can truly play anywhere and make a decent fist of it. Speaking of Hendo? Where's he been? Played an ok first couple of games then fell off the face of the earth.

PREGAME: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
It would seem a bit unfair to drop Adams after he was given the impossible task of guarding Naughton who's in the form of his life, but I can't imagine we'll be leaving May on the sidelines. I imagine Windsor will miss the remainder of the season. Lindsay seems the most logical replacement but Kolt has also had a good block of VFL form. I can't see any of Woey 2.0, Laurie or Brown getting a look in anytime soon.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Where is Sparrow at? Not sure if his 10 touch, 4 tackle games are going to impress the new coach.
-
POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
I'm convinced that if we played Culley over an underdone Tholstrup earlier in the year we finish with 2-3 more wins.
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
The sooner TMac and Melksham get extensions for '26 the better. TMac has been very good on Darcy.
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Culley looks the goods He'll be an exciting watch over the next 12 months. Could be anything. Can play anywhere.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs

CASEY: Rd 20 vs Brisbane Lions
