  1. Kozzy could've kicked 8+ today. Unreal performance Running out of superlatives for Max. Career high tackles today. Keeps finding ways to raise the bar. AJ provided solid relief and set up at least 2/3 goals with clever little tap ons as well. Another week of the super sub! Two goals for Sharp in that final quarter. Only negatives are that Lever looked rusty on return and Spargo looked pretty ordinary before he was subbed.
  2. Spargo out, Sestan in?
  3. Hasn't done much wrong but nothing that stood out. Just the 11 touches and 5 tackles.
  4. JVR gets an unkind bounce heading to goal, sums up his form. Jeffo gets a free kick for holding the ball and kicks numero five
  5. Henderson gets a 50m penalty and kicks Casey's lucky 13th of the day.
  6. Casey look as if they have 10 extra players on the ground.
  7. JVR getting plenty of opportunities but just can't finish with the set shot. 1.3 at the moment
  8. Woewodin takes a nice mark and goals. All a bit too easy at the moment. Agree on the Sestan comments. Very, very nice by foot.
  9. Just in case there's anyone that thinks Bowey only wins easy ball on the outside. Some seriously good contested wins here.
  10. Congrats to a modern great of the MFC and the AFL world at large. Clearly Christian went through a very traumatic experience last year and his mindset was clearly impacted by that towards the end of last season. From what I've seen from him in interviews this year, he looks fully invested in the club. I think Christian will be staying with us for a while yet.
  11. I'm hesitant to drop AJ for Lever. AJ was solid in the ruck yesterday and his aggression will be handy against Grundy next week. I still remember Gawn getting absolutely trounced by Grundy and Sydney during the opening round match last year. We need to have a solid backup for him. Otherwise agree with Sharp for Viney. Spargo would want to play well next weekend as I imagine K.Brown is very much in line.
  12. For those interested, Maxy (alongside Jordan Dawson) is currently leading the AFL's Brownlow predictor with 14 votes... He's put together an unreal 5-6 weeks of footy after a patchy start.
  13. 6. Melksham 5. Gawn 4. Oliver 3. Bowey 2. Pickett 1. Petracca
  14. I continue to be impressed with Bowey's rapid rise this season. Many could argue that he gets a lot of easy ball with his role but there were several occasions where he put his body on the line. Went at 86% DE as well.
  15. I think he took Fort by surprise several times with his aggression and strength in the ruck. Loved his goal as well! He'll never be an out and out star but I can see him being a handy player for us.
  16. Lindsay's second half was huge.
  17. We probably should've won that by 4-5 goals with how dominant we played in that finally quarter. We kicked 4.8 for the quarter.
  18. Fritsch needs to bring that effort consistently. That's the standard now. Great cameo as sub. Melksham was unreal. Gawn's late clunks were huge.
  19. 🚨 🚨 Kingsley Alert 🚨 🚨 Darcy Gardiner with four goals having only kicked 9 in his career which started in 2014.
  20. Why is a 33 year old, injury prone Jake Melksham our only forward who actually launches at the ball when going for a mark? Everyone else tentatively stands there waiting for the ball to come to them? Nice goal Riv
  21. I think Laurie has been unfairly judged at AFL so far. It's hard to get a good read on a player at the top level when they've played more than half of their games as the sub.
  22. Unfortunately, with the lack of a first round pick this year, the only way I see this getting done is through the loss of one of Pickett/Oliver/Petracca. Hopefully our trading team have a few creative solutions in mind that don't involve the loss of any of the above.
  23. Future cult hero alert with a name like that.
  24. Happy if this comes to fruition. Not so happy if we have to give up Pickett as part of the deal.
  25. He's putting out ok numbers at Casey. Had 25 touches and 10 tackles last weekend.
