Unless the recruiting team have their eyes on a certain player, I don't really see much need to trade back into the first/second round. Weideman is essentially our first pick this year and we have enough young guys at the club now as it is.

Damn, would've liked it if we hung onto pick 29. Though I get the feeling we're not done yet....

I remember Max King played some really good football in the seconds as a tall forward back midway through 2015. Shame he hasn't kicked on since then. Granted, talls take a bit of extra time but I'm not sure there's a spot for him next year, even with our lack of ruck depth.

Don't know why, but Josh Mahoney flat out denying whether we had any interest in Rockliff combined with Chook In Perth's (who has a good track record) source makes me think this isn't happening. It was fun while it lasted. The recruitment of Lewis and Hibberd is still a fantastic result for the club.

Pretty sure I heard that Deledio is a good chance to stay at Tigerland. Forgot about Prestia. Not sure where the Tiges are at with that one.

Don't know, but probably immensely better than he did in an Essendon one.

Surprisingly a quiet day in terms of trades for all parties involved. I was hoping that the Lewis trade would go through today. But at least he has officially nominated us as his club of choice. Can't imagine it's too far away from being sorted. Still plenty of deals to be finalised as well before the Thursday deadline. Gibbs, O'Meara, Tuohy, Hibberd, Vardy, Marchbank and Hanley are all still yet to be traded. Should make for an interesting final few days.

I feel it's O'Meara or bust for the Hawks. They've gone too far down that path already.

All of this talk is driving me crazy. I love this time of year. I'm going to bed now so tomorrow comes quicker.
