How good did Kentfield look taking that mark? Authoritative

Disappointed for Kolt, but Sparrow plays that half-forward role far better. Have Kolt ply his trade and gain some confidence in the VFL for the rest of the season and hope he takes the next step next season.

Is this his third year on the rookie list? Can we give him a fourth? Is that allowed? I could've sworn three years was the maximum amount of time a player could be on a rookie list. Unless we plan to upgrade him to the main list at seasons end. I think he's shown some great traits at VFL level and definitely would've been in line for a debut mid-season had he not been injured.

Callum Brown has signed on at GWS for a further three years. We can officially scratch that one off the list.

Bit hard to judge his performance considering Casey won by over 100 points, but he looks a good prospect based on these highlights. If he doesn't get a game this season, he's definitely one to watch in '26

Big yes to Darcy Wilson if the opportunity ever came up. Looked a genuinely exciting prospect last year but seems to have come down with a case of the second year blues. Not dissimilar to Windsor.

Good lord, then why on earth did we allow him to play when it was a clearly going to impact his performance? Surely we could've brought in Howes and allowed Rivers to fill Petracca's role?

Hibbo's first season with us in 2017 after he missed the first 4-5 games was a good as any Melbourne defender's since the turn of the century. The fact that he made the final AA team after missing the first month of games was a real credit to how good his season was.

Patrick Voss with five goals. Every team seems to be having no problem in finding tall forward talent. Why do we struggle so much?

100% agree on Laurie. Even though he's contracted with us for 2026, I imagine he'll be seeking opportunities elsewhere.

OUT: Tholstrup, May (if suspended) IN: Sparrow, Petty I'm not sure if Jeffo is the answer but he probably holds his spot unless Kentfield plays a blinder tomorrow. Petty could also be thrown forward if Jeffo is dropped and Adams could debut to replace May if he's suspended.

I really feel for the kid. Clearly very popular amongst the group and the coaches clearly think highly of him. It's just not working out for him at the moment.

6. Pickett - Surely a lock for AA at this point? ANOTHER 5 goal, 20 touch game 5. Fritsch - Seems to have rediscovered his mojo. Nailing set shots and leading well. Has quietly had a decent second half of the season. 4. Gawn - Up against two tricky opponents and probably took home the chocolates. 3. Salem - Like Fritsch, seems to have rediscovered some of his best form. Just needs more 'oomph' with his kicks. 2. Bowey - Only player who looked to be adventurous with his kicking. That moment of hesitation against Docherty probably killed us though. 1. Oliver - Worked his guts out tonight. If he's awarded that HTB in the fourth, it could've been a whole different story.

Jeffo looked like he was getting to the right spots, which shows he's learning, but his decision making was diabolical tonight. I'm pretty sure every one of his disposals in the first half led to a turnover. On the other hand, he laid some great smothers inside forward 50 and clunked a couple. Nailed that late game set shot under pressure as well.

Jeffo is making it incredibly hard for me to root to him. Diabolically bad quarter from him.

The coaches are clearly seeing something with Sharp that I'm not. I'd much rather give Laurie a run.
