Gee it's frustrating to see teams like Brisbane pick up key forwards with late picks like Morris and Gallop and watching them thrive, while guys like Jefferson have barely had a taste of AFL football and haven't looked at the level required. I like Mihocek, and desire his efforts tonight, I genuinely think he'll be good for us next season. But relying on him, a 34 year old Jake Melksham and once again Fritta (I expect Kozzy's contribution to dry up with more midfield time) to kick our goals should be a wake up call to the recruiting department who have been drafting our key forwards with early picks of late.

As much as I can't stand Geelong, christ almighty they are the epitomy of a classy, professional and well run club. I wouldn't want to play them next week...

A late second rounder would be a great result considering Spargo's recent history with injury.

A decent contributor but let's be real, North will demand the world for him which will be significant overs and far more than a player of his 'average' caliber is worth. Probably worth a late first rounder at most. Pass.

I believe that if we feel we're not receiving fair value for Trac, we then hold him to his contract. Trac has effectively been the one to 'blink first' as it were by declaring that he's open to an interstate move, which is good for us in regards to our options. We can sit back and see what clubs have to offer. We're not forcing him out. We'll only contemplate the trade if the price is right.

A genuine surprise. Very impressed that this was not leaked ahead of time. Last I heard it was between, Bucks, Kelly or Lade but I guess the media was guessing just as much as we were (surprise, surprise) Love them or hate them, Geelong have been the AFL benchmark in the 2000's. I think King will be good for us (fingers crossed anyway!) No doubt Bucks was in the 'yes, pending better offer' camp. I can see why we didn't go down that direction.

I'm not writing off McAdam yet. He put in the hard yards over the pre-season and put himself in the position to give 2025 a good shake. Here's hoping that he's got a bit more luck on his side next season.

Is Verrell out of contract? He's improved this year but he still looks a mile off. Saying that, I can't see us delisting him if Campbell retires. Our ruck depth would be non existent. On that topic, I find it odd that even though we have the best ruck of the generation on our list, our history of developing young rucks over the last decade (LJ aside) is surprisingly poor. Lachie Filipovic, Mitch King, Austin Bradtke Kyah Farris-White. The list goes on. Fingers crossed Kalani breaks the pattern.
