I like it

What to do with what is now Pick 32?
I like the inclusion of Brock Smith. I saw two power games this year and he looked a solid smart defender. Strong build, composed and can deliver the footy. I know there is about 8-9 really good other youngsters but Smith would be a good call out as well. A local boy

Elijah Taylor (Drafted by Sydney)
With is getting Kozzzy, it’s unlikely we’d go for ET at pick 30. But it would be tempting.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
Kozzzzzzzzy that’s the call that will get the members and supporters and young kids excited. we need some X factor and I hope this kid can deliver it. Cost us 2020 1st round draft pick but imo should be worth it.

Who would you have taken with pick # 3 - recruiters
Yes it seemed split between Young and Jackson. Love the irony in the names. We can always get Young if Jackson decides to go home. That’s going to be the annual discussion after 2021 imo. Hogan was also mentioned each year to go back home and he did.

What to do with what is now Pick 32?
Agree. It’s just showing that plenty of good options in next 9-10 players available. I rate Jeremy Sharp highly with pace, run and skills. Good size at 187cms 78 kgs and experience at senior WAFL level. Harrison Jones could also be a good option as a young key forward.

What to do with what is now Pick 74?
Yes draft pick will fall to around 65-70 but I think there is 5 spots available pre draft now down to 3 That’s pick 30 and then Bennell and Brown as rookie/SSP Listings.

What to do with Pick 10?
Ohhh. 16 and 19 for our 12 and 30

What to do with Pick 10?
Kemp? Robertson? Pickett? Green? Flanders?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Liken him to Austin Bradtke. Similar background. I don’t expect him to play any senior games in 2020. Jackson is raw, with limited footy skills. He hunts and runs like a basketballer. We should support the pick and hope he develops BUT we will always have the annual media beat up about him going home to the Dockers or Eagles
-
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Agree. Whether us fanatical long suffering Dees members think someone else should be picked, Luke Jackson is now a Demon and we need to support him to deliver us the holy grail.

Hope can be a good thing.

What to do with what is now Pick 32?
Looks like it could be Jeremy Sharp also from WA. He is rated highly by some. Almost top 15-20. Definitely fast skilled runner. If he got him , it’s a Tick imo.

Deven Robertson (Drafted by Brisbane)
I’m definitely a wrap in this kid. Great skills. Pace. Hard edge. Leader. I’d put the house on him as a 200 gamer. I thought Freo would draft him at their 1st available pick without doubt. Twomey has Freo taking Young and Serong. if Deven Robertson was available at our pick 10 or whatever it is, he’d be a fantastic get ... imo.

Kozzzy is a big risk if we use pick 10. But understand if we think he’s gone by our next pick, how much we might regret it. I think he’s a talent yet I do see others at pick 10 (or 11,12 depending on bids) are better options such as Stephens, Robertson or Kemp.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
I agree SD. as per my post, Jackson appears to a risk that JT may take. But it is a mystery really and we wait 5 years usually to judge the outcome.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
The only consensus is that opinion is divided on picking Jackson. Raw. Athletic. But footy skills and smarts need to be developed which raises queries and WA origin makes us nervous. Acknowledge JT experience gives us some cautious optimism. Interesting given we all had hoped that after the 2019 disaster that we’d grab a definite top gun youngster. Suns concession robbed MFC as Anderson was almost unanimous when we had pick 2. Young and Green other options but all the mail is Jackson at 3.

Phantom Drafts
It’s 48 hours of predictions. Only JT and Goody know the algorithm of how this plays out. And then we wait up to 5 years potentially for the real outcome!!!!

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - MITCH BROWN
Petty will settle into CHB most likely. He was a drop in forward. Preuss is more of a ruckman whilst Jackson will need lots of development. Our games without key forwards in the last 5-6 games were shockers.
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - MITCH BROWN
Looking through our list and vulnerability , the key forwards look light on. Brown can provide experience and proven ability. Definitely good to get him onboard for 2-3 years as depth to cover this. 2019 showed this glaring gap

Poll: Who do you want with our first two picks?
Agree. We need to use these picks strongly to get pace and footy skills into our transition footy. That’s our key weaknesses. We need players to deliver the footy without killing it. That’s apparently why Frosty was given the opportunity to go elsewhere. How can we get skilful youngsters like Young, Stephens or Kemp onboard.
