Tom Phillips - Outside Skills and Speed
Summed it up. Phillips was the one that got away. Pick 65!! The bargain buy of the draft by the Hawks.

2020 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Yes Brayden Cook should be available and weโd be super keen to select him. Would be a very handy goalkicking wingman with good pace, endurance and skill. โ โ โ

Who Will We Dislodge from the 2020 Final Eight?
2021 final 8 Tigers โ Cats โ Power โ Lions โ Saints โ Pies โ Bulldogs โ Eagles โ Pies finished 8th and lose players. Other clubs get stronger or (tigers) have the exuding players and system to still be very successful. Who could come in? Dees or Blues. Blues get Williams and Saad who will add tremendous pace, and their youngsters get better. Many pundits will have the Blues into the 8 in 2021.

2020 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I think Will Phillips goes to Sydney. That will love him there and replaces Josh Kennedy (who will probably hang up his boots after 2021). Assume Bruhn goes to Suns to complete their AAA midfield for the next 10 years. Bombers will try to grab Grainger-Baras (Hurley and Hooker on the descent) Macrae and Henry.

2020 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Possible but unlikely. But I do hope as any of these 3 are perfect for the Dees. I have the Bombers getting Macrae at 8, Kangas getting Carroll at 11 and Pies stealing Perkins at 14. I hope a team further screws up the Pies by nominating Reef Mcinnes in the top 12-13 picks prior to their first pick. Screw them.

2020 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Yes some interesting names here from Knightmare. Iโm looking through the draft picks and likely options. I have considered we need runners. Midfielder types with good skills (essential), pace and endurance. I hope JT agrees. To play running wing or half back roles. I assume players, that have very good skill with pace, like Finley Macrae, Jack Carroll and Archie Perkins will all be gone (as I have them picked through by Pies pick 14). Iโd even nominate Brandon Walker under Freo NGA and get them to have to match it I have looked at picks 18,19 - Brayden Cook SA-Sth Adel, wing, half forward - Caleb Poulter, SA-WWT , ruckrover, halfback At pick 28, similar types are - Ryan Angwin Gippsland power, wing - Nick Stevens Ballarat Rebels, half back - Jack Ginnivan, Bendigo half forward I can give further Bio details later once we have picks locked in closer to the draft. Thanks to JM pick swaps, we have good options still despite not quite being into real top 20 group given nga, zones & father son compo etc etc

MFC Trade Summary
8/10 score. Getting good value pick 31 for Preuss โ Getting Ben Brown for equivalent mid 2nd round โ โ trade pick swaps to get 18 & 19 & kept 28 โ Witherden - we needed a small skilled defender to go alongside May and Lever โ missed the Pies fire sale. Phillips was a good fit and ultimately was available. โ lost first round 2021 pick ?kept Tmcd on serious $$ but unsure where he fits in our best team. Probably as an emergency!

2020 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Ready to go now. JT hopefully has been in Mahoneyโs ear about some diamonds in this draft. Jack Carroll, Finley Macrae and Caleb Poulter all in the frame now. Young midfield runners to compliment our midfield bulls.

Hopes for the final trade day
Its quite a day. Ben Brown, 2020 draft picks. 18, 19, 28, 50. risky to trade out future 1st in 2021 but it shows our aggressive and creative style hoping it carries over to the 2021 coaching and playing style

Trade Targets
Itโs all done. Itโs a blockbuster.

Rumour only file ...
I think we are probably the most creative with the pick swaps. Definitely Mahoney is a closet actuary.

Trade Targets
I thought the Dees really should have gone for Witherden from the Lions. Elite skills. Small defender. Thatโs a gap for us. Whilst some on here thought he was not gettable, ultimately the Eagles got him for a steal imv... Pick 58 and Future 3rd rd pick. Iโd have give that up.

List Sizes to be Cut
I thought theyโd cut to 42 so it means some players on the outer fringe do get retained. 44 means little change for Dees (45 in the 2020 squad).

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Yes. Yes. Yes. No complaints

Tom Phillips - Outside Skills and Speed
Certainly I think we recognized the need for pace and fix the (opposite to Langdon) wing position with Isaac Smith the first option. After that Phillips was considered an option. But his price is too high (Pies seemed to have overpaid for quite a few players) and we are now unlikely to be able to shift Tmcd.

Finlay Macrae
Agree. Heโd be a very good pickup if we somehow trade our picks up to the 1st round (ie. The dogs first round). As a first or 2nd year or development, heโd play outside and be used as a delivery type. Then look to move into more traditional ruck rover midfielder who plays outside-in.

Chad Wingard
DD36. You raised and gave it oxygen. It was pathetic. I know itโs your opinion but I have to call it out โHe is the exact type of player we desperately needโ. Really? heโs soft. Lacks run , poor pressure acts. His kicking and disposal efficiency are actually poor. Not even close to the type of player we need at all. With Brown onboard hopefully today, we want hard running skilled mids to compliment our midfield bulls. Players with endurance who can run both ways. Two midfield runners would top off our team imv. Thatโs the priority.

Hopes for the final trade day
Itโs all whispers and hearsay. The 2021 draftees are mostly unknown outside of some under 16 championship games and the WA and SA colts league this year. I think the. Super draft of 2021 is certainly not yet a known factor.

Hopes for the final trade day
Unsure about Tmcd. Happy to see Tmcd stay or go. If he goes, 1- try to use the pick to get Narkle. 2- need Andrew Phillips from Bombers (save ourselves $450k a year) for a future 4th round. But Iโm tipping Tmcd stays. Really want 1- Ben Brown - MFC pick 31 and pick 68 to Kangas 2- Dogs pick 14 - swap for MFC pick 26,33. Gets Dogs 1290 points ### End up with 3 picks 14, 43 , 50. ###
