  1. This would be a win for both clubs. But I think Gus is such a popular bloke with his teammates and coming into his prime at 24, it would be a harsh move. Brayshaw would have to initiate the move and not MFC. In fact I think Gus can still get better. Cerra certainly has huge potential and would be a good fit to balance our midfield between inside and outside mids. So it’s a no but agree with you raising as a “thought bubble”
  2. Agree. Bennell might get the game v Freo depending on how players pull up in the humidity and physical game. Otherwise he’s journey back is not just this year. He needs to be managed and the fact that he had played is a bonus. I trust in Burgess to manage his load and physical well-being.
  3. Agree. Crows are rabble and hardly an attractive option. Also go home factor is reduced because likely it could be another year 2021 on the road and in Hub type scenario once again.
  4. Yes I had Bedford in rather than Smith. I had Spargo and Oscar as staying in ONLY BECAUSE THEY ARE THE COACH’S PETS.
  5. I agree Crows will be after Sparrow and Petty. They can talk about Neal-Bullen. But we have a lot of inside mids so unfortunately Sparrow could be an option . Sparrow and Neal-Bullen for Crows 2nd round pick and 3rd round pick (1st selection in 2nd round and 3rd round could be interesting)
  6. Spargo v Kangas. Satisfactory. 12 possessions. Showed some ability against a disinterested Kangas team. Spargo v Pies. Golden 3 goals in 5 minutes. Seven possessions. Missing for 3 quarters. Spargo v Bulldogs. 4 possessions. Brushed aside. Unsighted all day. Lucky to survive !!!! Spargo v Saints. 8 possessions. Ineffective. Brings forward pressure you say?? Average of 1.2 tackles per game. Like Oscar, he gets gifted matches whilst others (like Bedford) are waiting and waiting.
  7. Ins. Harmes ?? Fritsch ?? Smith ? Neal-Bullen ? outs. Hibberd as expected ? Pickett as expected ?. Vandenburg ? Hannan ? Lockhart???? Rather him in before Smith to play on Papley Bedford??? prefer him to Neal-Bullen to replace Pickett (who needs a rest ) Fritsch YES back for Hannan Harmes YES back for Vandenburg, hoping he tags Parker Lucky again!!! Spargo and Oscar. Both are rated ???imo. I’d rather Bedford and Lockhart in and replace the ???s
  8. Papley comes with a huge price tag now and the Swans will want plenty in return. For the same price, you may be able to secure a classy midfielder which is more our immediate need. I see the connection with Preuss and the Swans desparately needing a ruckman.
  9. It’s a no from me. He is trouble off field
  10. WA lost the inloseable grand final. Still their arrogance is finally getting snubbed The Gabba is the winner!!
  11. Fair enough. Corcoran was there in 1997-2004. Salary cap rorts were 1995 to 1998. Only the accomplice.
  12. Exactly. He has the pace and skill but importantly also the footy brain to compose and find the best option. Good signs.
  13. Whilst we beat the Saints, Brad Hill and Zac Jones were in their best as running mids. We still need another midfielder or two with outside speed on the wing. current group - Baker or Hunt might get an opportunity (perhaps this week v Swans or Freo) Trade options - Matthew Ling (Swans) for Preuss, or Cedric Cox from Lions under 18s - our first pick 20-25 range : options are Jack Carroll (East Freo) or Eddie Ford(Western Jets) are guns. Brandon Walker (East Freo) is another skilled fast mid but he’s under Freo NGA.
  14. Might have to consider Eddie Ford as another option. Fast and tough and skilled. I spoke with someone from the west suburbs of Melbourne who follows the under 18s and reckons last year as a underager he was playing like a former Jets youngster called Callan Ward. Big wraps.
  15. Callum Twomey has listed Jack Carroll at pick 18 in his draft prospect update. He’s rising up the draft options as the WA colts (Like SA Under18s) are playing and getting a lot of extra attention. The kid is exactly what the Dees need with pace and skill, and his connection with Jackson and Rivers would be good for the future.
  16. Deakyn Smith. But he’s a late draft pick option like Bedford. Hard to gauge him given no matches in 2020.
  17. Spot on. I love it that he kicks it 70% of the time and 40-45 in our direction. Too many true little ineffective handballs. Langdon runs and kicks and we should not try to change his instincts. A great addition for the Dees in 2020. Go Langers Go !
  18. Agree. Blind Freddy knows we need another wing player with pace and skills to compliment our strong inside contested footy bulls. A few in the draft around 20-25 (Jack Carroll, Eddie Ford, Brayden Cook) but we’d love to add a player like Tom Phillips. Probably look to the Swans to grab Matthew Ling for Brayden Preuss. Swans get 2 academy players in the draft to replace Ling.
  19. Totally agree. It’s a joke. Need to suspend Greene to send a message. A fine is soft.
  20. Langdon is a runner. We definitely need him and also another 1-2 similar types that run. Ideally excellent skills. Langdon does also like to kick rather than handball. He gains metres and creates opportunities. This year he has had 250 possessions- 150 kicks 100 handballs. Contrast to Harmes who has 180 possessions- 80 kicks and 100 handballs. Harmesy needs to kick it more rather than be a handball centred player who sometimes puts his teammates under the pump. ‘Langers’ is probably 6th in B&F behind Trac, Max, Clarry, Mayzy and JV.
  21. Agree. In fact we won due to Trac, May, Langdon and Olly. We won despite Oscar, Spargo, AVB and Hannan giving us NOTHING. They should go (Pickett to be managed, and Hibbo to get a full 9 days to recover and come back for the Freo game).
  22. Jones contributed more than Avb, Spargo and Hannan. He deserves another game. He had the shocker of a clanger to gift the Saints a goal (Farrrrrrrrrrk) but earned one back with his hard contest and handball to Trac for the snap in the 3rd. Based on Saturday night, his place in the team V Swans won’t be a gift.
  23. Kangas are canon fodder now. They have given up and the Suns should have won by 100. The next few teams to play them will be out for big wins. Power, Freo, Eagles.
