we were interviewing Williams last week, things may well be further along than we realise. -

I feel so much happier now that we have PJ on side. -
If the AFL offer us that.. 1. every other club would riot and rightly so 2. we would stuff up all of those picks 3. i would spit my drink all over the room

Don't think they would be game to accuse us of Tanking given the actions of GWS AND WCE in recent weeks.

Both teams have been a bit up and down but on the whole we have been okay since Craig took over. I expect to see a Dees win by between 30-40 points. Hoping for big games from Toumpas, Viney, Trengove and Nathan Jones against younger opposition.
-
I hope we don't need to kick 12 in the last quarter to win this one.
-
Mate, if i were you i'd apologise to the spud race, he isn't even good enough to get a run with them.
-
I'd go as far as saying we would go into both almost expecting to win, 2-3 more wins might be a big boost and some momentum to take into what will be a huge pre season for the club.

it's a sad reflection of where we are as a club isn't it? Noone wants to come here, Josh Caddy refused talks last year even though we could have offered the best possible deal to GC for him, Luke Ball had no interest in being a demon and i imagine that Taylor Adams may be going through something similar. We quickly need to fix these issues and become an attractive destination for players or we are just going to keep losing and missing out on talent and being a club fringe players go for a pay rise.

THE DRAFT: TAC CUP FUTURE STARS ROLLING DRAFT
Ted Lasso replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
How would people feel about us using pick 2 on Dom Sheed? to me he is a very complete player, would add an extractor to our midfield along with Dunstan if he falls to pick 20. -
We have some big list management decisions to make, we need to know all we can about our list before seasons end, need to give as many blokes ( who are up to it ) the opportunity as we can, having said that we shouldn't pick Sellar because he is king of the spuds

I wish i could watch this :/ -
Agree mate, but i think that's the case with half our list, blease, strauss, and co aren't worth much if we can't get the ball in the first place
-
In two years time when Toumpas is delivering lace out passes to clark, dawes and hogan opinions might be different, and we already had Viney a more highly rated inside midfielder so i can see why some don't agree with the decision, i don't think it's as bad as say the decision to recruit, gillies, byrnes, rodan and pederson.
-
It's a balancing act, while i agree we need to make sure we get the total club re-build correct in terms of new culture, new structure, and so on, we need to see a measure of on field success to stop the fall in membership rates each year, to get us to be a more attractive option to televise and play against and become a self sustaining club in our own right. Having said that i think drafting Toumpas will prove to be the right decision, we can afford to build for our future, sure Wines would have been better right now, how much better is hard to say because we don't have a boak or wingard around to support him, Toumpas has played some good patches, his skills are amazing and will be huge in terms of building the sort of list we are working at and will be a jet of a player for alot of years.

I actually thought Dunn abit like Watts showed some promise up forward, maybe abit of a Mitch hahn type but for some reason Neeld liked to just do everything upside down. wouldn't mind seeing him play as a defensive forward for a couple of games and see how he does, put Tapscott behind the ball and Dunn up forward.
-
there is something there with tapscott and strauss that makes me think one more year, the rest can be delistef
