He said his son was the reason for not taking the offer last year if i remember correctly, strange he has not straight up said that was the issue this year, because one would think if it was he wouldn't even leave the door ajar, not saying that's not the case because i really have no idea have certainly been convinced if nothing else he is on side with our club.

It's hard to say, it may be OP, may be the stress fracture and he may have just put on weight and lost his zip, the lack of information given to the public when as you say he is clearly not right is just going to promote people to come up with theories.

Oh yeah i didn't mean it like that, i think we should have 0 expectations on the young man next year, i'd hope he'd get a decent chance in the seniors but not be overdone.

I would love for PJ to come out and say he has sat Chip down and told him how important he is to us, the bloke deserves to know that even though the team is going badly we appreciate he is one of the guys who gives his all and gets great results, same with Jones and Garland.

Yeah i agree with his disposal being iffy, but i think part of that is noone runs nearly hard enough to give him some decent options, him signing up would be a huge boost for our club, it is vital we keep him.

It seems we are more interested in drafting good prospects rather than good footballers if that makes sense, i mean of our last 10 picks maybe 2 were actually ready to go, Jack Viney and Jesse Hogan

Teams that are more successful are more capable of appointing young leaders with other leaders around the club, that's not us.

Totally agree mate, Sidebottom would be my target for that reason, not quite in their start bracket but would be right up there for us, he'd get a pay rise and all that, They'd get boyd but would we get Sidebottom and their first pick if we milk it?

I think he trains like a leader, but walking out on the MCG to lead possibly the worst team of all time would be a big ask for Chris Judd or Joel Selwood, i feel for Trenners in that sense, he probably deserves to concentrate on his footy

Bit hard against 10,000 inside 50's and no pressure up the field every week, he probably is the best full back in the comp really and the thing that has changed is we have gotten worse.

I agree that this is a huge possibility, i mean guys with no guts have no guts regardless of who coaches them, Work ethic is something that should just come naturally, it seems we go for more talented kids that aren't willing to work hard enough to exploit their talent, or the environment doesn't promote working that hard, who knows?

We have a few duds there is no question but i'd like to think Trenners, Grimes, Howe, Mcdonald, strauss, Tapscott, Toumpas, Viney, Hogan and all of those boys have some improvement in them.
