    So this weeks rumour is Craig and Simpson? not two days ago you could bet your farm on Eade and Simpson I really don't mind between Eade and Williams, Craig for me is a little behind those two

    In that case it becomes about which of the three could develop players the best, i can't see Eade and Williams bothering if they aren't going to get a shot at success though

    I don't think we should/will hire simpson as a straight up head coach, untried isn't the way to go for us, Eade covers that base

    Trade him, underperforming, soft, laconic, all of the things we don't need leaking into another group of young players. and where are we going to play him? he got tagged out of the game as a half back because he simply doesn't work hard enough, he could play forward but then we're probably too top heavy with Clark, Dawes and Hogan He has publicly stated he is not 100% sure he wants to be part of the MFC, if we're going to get out of this mess it will take an entire club united on the fact they're 100% committed to the cause.

    He has played some very good games this year, and we will have interest from multiple clubs, so if we can drive his value up to a late first round pick from 9-16 sorta range i'd be pretty happy, would Gws do a swap of Watts for Adams? or would we need to throw in steak knives?

    Paul Roos is a great bloke, i think alot of people would have taken the money and screwed the club over.     I don't like this Jack Watts is the victim stuff, sure he has been mismanaged at times but he was a number 1 draftpick who doesn't hold a bootlace to the player he should be because of two key things he is missing, Work ethic and leadership, they aren't things we would have stripped from him, imo he is a fair weather player, will look a million dollars when the team is going well but when the heat is on you won't be able to find him.

    I've met Tom a couple of times and had good chats to him, certainly think he would look at MFC more as a challenge than a joke, he is a very respectful sort of guy in that way. if we made him a good offer and he really wanted to come home i'm sure he would have no problem coming to us.

    Nupp no Character, if he can't show that now what's he gunna do when the heat is on in a Grand Final? guys like Trengove at least work hard, if they don't make it it's not from a lack of trying, Watts drives me up the wall because he has everything but work ethic

    I tend to agree, however i feel there are things in our favor we are the great football challenge of our time, he would love that imo he loves PJ turns us around he goes down as one of the greats of coaching he clearly thinks there is alot to work with we can offer significantly more money than Brisbane can we haven't pushed out a great to give him his run at the job, West coast would have too, and the Lions already have

    Just having a new coach isn't going to save us, comes from having 40 players also 100% committed to turning this place into a powerhouse, Jack Watts has just proven he is not one of them so move him on.

    The support argument is certainly valid, amazed people are saying it's not, Put Jack Viney or Nathan Jones in Geelongs midfield and see if they improve, that is not an issue with Trengove though, he wins his own ball and on the most part his disposal is okay, the issue is his agility, which i'd bet my liver is OP mixed with confidence issues and the stress fracture a little bit and probably just the terrible development programs of the MFC Roos, Eade, Williams, Bailey, Craig and Neeld all have said he will be Elite, he works too hard not to be
