Exactly and further more i think the big candidates would already know who they want, what they have to trade and have most of it planned, after signing it's really a case of rolling up at trade week and implementing it.

He also turned and slipped the elbow into trenners face in the first quarter, he really is a dirty player

I think he has abit of boomer harvey about him, it's a big call but he has the zip and class

I would think so, Terlich and Clisby certainly have the capacity to play as mids, so i'm sure they might all rotate through different positions going forward, Grimes needs to work on his skills infact most of the list do, we would be a 20% better team all over the ground if we could improve the skills of each of our sub par players disposal wise, when you have three tall forwards the only way to play is to move the ball fast and get them one on one, you need skill for that, Watts, Aish and Toumpas will be great in that aspect going forward but guys like Grimes, Mckenzie, Nicholson, Tom mcdonald, Frawley and co probably need to focus abit on becoming better kicks.

And his skills imo are on a par with Toumpas and Watts, he is a gamebreaker

It's a real concern, when he was drafted i remember thinking Gee this guy has good skills, so i wonder if it's a composure thing, a little bit of pressure from the captaincy or something like that, doesn't take much to go from a perfect kick to a turnover.

i can see Kent becoming a huge steal out of last years draft, our recruiters really got it right, even clisby has been impressive, the older recruits are abit of a worry but i reckon the coach was probably pushing that.

I wouldn't rule out Clarkson, he did an amazing job rebuilding Hawthorn but they haven't really been as successful as they probably should have in terms of premierships, if they don't win this year i reckon he will move on.

I felt Grimes was playing some great footy before his injury and had really taken another step, and James Frawley is still very underrated if that's possible, i think the stars are there on our list, we just need to boost our midfield and we will fly up the ladder, whether that comes from improvement of the players within or the players we bring in i'm not sure, i think an injury free pre season and Trengove will improve, Viney, Toumpas and Matt Jones will be better with another pre season under their belt.

Honestly i wouldn't mind giving it to Garland, he is Mr Dependable, at the start of this year i didn't consider him AFL standard, but he has really improved, gives the list something to watch and see just what is possible if you're willing to put the work in.

Yeah i agree, both are top 10 picks but probably not top 5

Which is not entirely surprising, how many 19 year olds could you really expect to run out for a terrible AFL side and make an impact not just in his own game but as a leader, the thing is unlike a joel selwood, Trenners hadn't even learned to take control of games yet, i thought he was well on the way, obviously stalled now for whatever reasons but the talent that got him rated so highly won't just disappear Nathan Jones at least leads by example

I have no issue with the idea that Grimes and Trengove are leaders, just watching them train you can tell they have the right sorts of qualities, my issue is that possibly the worst team of all time gave the captaincy to a 19 year old who we hoped would carry our side forward, i still fully believe he will be a very good player for us, but we had five players who imo would have been better captain candidates than Trengove at the time. No issue as the players voted him in, i'm sure Neeld gave them a push in the right direction just imo, Frawley, Jones, Moloney, Rivers and even Bartram at the time would have been better options.

Tonight we showed alot of promise, no question but the mentality of the place needs to shift, we lost a winnable game, that's not good enough.

Would not be surprised if Spencer and Gawn become one of the best ruck Combo's in the comp.

My big question is who gets the rights to pick 1, i think we should get it. which two players? Wouldn't mind Marc Murphy and pick 9, doubt they'd do it but still.

He is a clearance machine, but we need to take the best talent that we can with each pick, pick 2 that is going to be James Aish.

I actually thought he was better than Wines in round 1, he has been a little unlucky.
