i reckon col garland and nathan jones are on a par as my prefered captain at this stage.

we have not at this point even tabled a formal offer is my understanding, i suppose someone may have bought up the idea with jesse but a five year contract now just adds un needed and un wanted expectations right now.

he is contracted til 2015, i know for a fact he is loving melbourne so im not concerned at all infact well done to the young man.

He seems to talk about us just as much as Sydney these days, it may not mean much but surely he has had or is having a pretty decent think about it.

I think the thing is he isn't far off the mark considering he's averaging 20 touches and 5 tackles a game atm, if he had a full preseason he would get to more contests and probably get up to 25-30 touches, he needs to work on his kicking and tidy up a little bit but he is solid enough now, firmly believe being captain is doing trenners no favours, Grimes on the other hand showed early this year he is a very good player.

The thing to remember is we're going to have a new senior coach in the next 10 weeks and they're going to want to hand pick their assistants, it makes no sense to hire new ones until the coach is in place, although i do agree that there may be quality people there worth looking at. -

Yeah, would much rather wait and see what happens there before we hire anyone, obviously some real quality people who work there so if they do get the all clear it will be worth a look

Totally agree mate, Adam Simpson would be a fantastic influence on our midfield.

He said his son was the reason for not taking the offer last year if i remember correctly, strange he has not straight up said that was the issue this year, because one would think if it was he wouldn't even leave the door ajar, not saying that's not the case because i really have no idea have certainly been convinced if nothing else he is on side with our club.

It's hard to say, it may be OP, may be the stress fracture and he may have just put on weight and lost his zip, the lack of information given to the public when as you say he is clearly not right is just going to promote people to come up with theories.
