    I don't like this Jack Watts is the victim stuff, sure he has been mismanaged at times but he was a number 1 draftpick who doesn't hold a bootlace to the player he should be because of two key things he is missing, Work ethic and leadership, they aren't things we would have stripped from him, imo he is a fair weather player, will look a million dollars when the team is going well but when the heat is on you won't be able to find him.

    I've met Tom a couple of times and had good chats to him, certainly think he would look at MFC more as a challenge than a joke, he is a very respectful sort of guy in that way. if we made him a good offer and he really wanted to come home i'm sure he would have no problem coming to us.

    Nupp no Character, if he can't show that now what's he gunna do when the heat is on in a Grand Final? guys like Trengove at least work hard, if they don't make it it's not from a lack of trying, Watts drives me up the wall because he has everything but work ethic

    I tend to agree, however i feel there are things in our favor we are the great football challenge of our time, he would love that imo he loves PJ turns us around he goes down as one of the greats of coaching he clearly thinks there is alot to work with we can offer significantly more money than Brisbane can we haven't pushed out a great to give him his run at the job, West coast would have too, and the Lions already have

    Just having a new coach isn't going to save us, comes from having 40 players also 100% committed to turning this place into a powerhouse, Jack Watts has just proven he is not one of them so move him on.

    The support argument is certainly valid, amazed people are saying it's not, Put Jack Viney or Nathan Jones in Geelongs midfield and see if they improve, that is not an issue with Trengove though, he wins his own ball and on the most part his disposal is okay, the issue is his agility, which i'd bet my liver is OP mixed with confidence issues and the stress fracture a little bit and probably just the terrible development programs of the MFC Roos, Eade, Williams, Bailey, Craig and Neeld all have said he will be Elite, he works too hard not to be

    Can't just look at what's on the surface mate, he is the best defensive footballer at our club by a mile, in his first two years he had some great offensive flair, put them together and you have a complete player, we have 3-5 on our list maybe he gets his zipp back with an injury free run at it and he will get to 20% more contests and the 20 touches goes up to 25-30, 30 touches and 5 tackles a game is all you could ask from him really, providing he uses it well ( which can be worked on and will improve with confidence )

    imo Jack Watts should be given his marching orders even if he decides to stay, not committed, no Character we need different types to get back to where we belong Jack Watts is a solid B grade footballer, probably a little lazy and laconic, maybe that would change at another club who knows, certainly has superstar potential but at this stage no work eithic if we wants to go trades i could see/ would be happy with Carlton: pick 9 GC: Pick 2 and jack watts for Swallow, Prestia and 2nd round pick GWS: Adams Freo: first round pick and viv Lions: Hanley or Watts and pick 20 for Rockliff ( if he wants to come home ) Crows: Vince North: First round pick

    According to Missions program the players should be fully fit and up to scratch next year, i still feel a full pre season with no injuries, and a little bit of confidence and Trengove will find his zip again, give him that back and he is a totally different player, the skill errors are clearly above the shoulders because isn't always terrible, he is normally above average with disposals, so fingers crossed, 20 touches and five tackles is his average at the moment, so if you forget he was a number 2 pick, that is very acceptable in such a poor team.

    I am really curious to see what people think his trade Value is, i'd settle for nothing less than a first round pick tbh.

    Maybe they just felt there were better options out there and we were closing in on our man and they wanted to get their hat in the ring before it was too late, Voss didn't exactly set the world on fire.

    MFC should seriously consider letting him know there is no place for soft [censored] on our list, and that he will be traded regardless of what he wants to do because he is nowhere near good enough to be holding the club to randsom.

    Same deal as Roos, can't have any half hearted soft [censored], either in for the long haul or right out the door, need to get someone with abit more heart in return.

    i have money on Roos to coach us but right now i am starting to feel as though he simply will not coach next year, he is smart enough to know unless he is desperate there is no point.

    As much as i believe he has OP and the stress fracture would still be having an impact he has never had a really good midfield coach, imagine the influence Adam Simpson or Michael Voss would have on him!

    will be a gun dont worry about trenners talent plus work ethic equals success watts has talent but no work ethic so id be more worried about him.
