  1. See that annoys me, the interview process is abit silly imo, Neeld from all reports interviewed flawlessly and how did that turn out? Choco's record speaks for itself, he has nothing to prove interview wise, the only thing we need to ask him is 1. do you have the passion to have a resurgent MFC? 2. What makes you a better choice than Eade, Craig and co.
  2. the culture is being worked on now, if nothing else they're trying to improve that, Gysberts is playing some great footy in the VFL unfortunately can't crack an AFL game but i'm sure he will, Scully and Trengove will both be very solid players in time and Tapscott has another year to go and has had a serious injury, none have reached 100 games yet.
  3. Almost certain if Roos is being honest, we will be coached by Choco in 2014.
  4. I'd say it's Choco, Craig would be announced right away if it's him, what's the point in waiting and holding out? Eade is out Roos said no Williams can't be announced until Richmond finish finals. Williams or the slight chance Roos changes his mind. can't see us choosing any untried coaches.
  5. Gunna do it anyway, Trade Jack Watts to Carlton for pick 11 Trade Pick 1 to Brisbane for Sam Mayes, jack redden and pick 7 Trade sam blease for Levi Greenwood Trade Mark Jamar to Geelong for pick 34 ( convince Taylor Adams to go to PSD with a good long term cash offer ) Free Agents: Daniel Cross lose: Col Sylvia ( pick 25 as compo ) Delisted Free Agents: Mitch Robinson, Anthony Miles Draft 3: Matt Scharenberg 7: Matt Crouch 11: Nathan Freeman 21:Luke Dunstan 25:Trent Durmont 34:Dayle Garlett 38: Zac Jones 56: Upgrade Clisby 74: pass Out: Rodan, Sellar, Davis, tynan, sylvia, watts, jamar, davey, macdonald, magner, couch, stark, nicholson, blease, byrnes, pederson ( don't care about contracts they offer nothing so i'd rather pay them out, or if possible trade them for pick 100 in: Mayes, redden, miles, robinson, adams, cross, scharenberg, crouch, freeman, dunstan, durmont, garlett, jones, clisby, hogan b: Z.jones J. Frawley C.Garland hb: scharenberg mcdonald grimes c: mayes jones viney hf: trengove dawes adams f: hogan clark howe fol: gawn redden robinson int: cross crouch toumpas sub freeman
  6. No more tanking talk, a win and momentum going into our most important pre season in a long time would be much more handy, James Aish is a fair players already so i wouldn't be too depressed if he was in red and blue next year anyway, might well get given a PP and get pick 1 also, we need to be desperate to win every game.
  7. rjay if we get pick 1 as a PP would our second pick remain 2 or drop to 3?
  8. I think he is a solid B workman like footballer, at one stage North rated him very highly, not sure what has happened since but his 38 touches against the dons shows he isn't too bad, wouldn't cost a heap either imo so just offer them Blease and maybe swap over later picks or something and really both parties get what they need.
  9. Watched him last night and gee he has some talent, if he is there at our third round pick we should grab him, although i'd probably prefer Zac Jones.
  10. Can't see us going for a smokey, having said that i think Carlton will fork over pick 11 for Watts and Freeman might well still be around at that pick. so if we get a PP of 2 & 3 and get 11 2: James Aish 3: Dom Sheed 11: Nathan Freeman 21: Trent Durmont How's that for a midfield supercharge?
  11. offer him a two year deal, if nothing else he will support jones and viney and help teach the mids what's required.
  12. I'd be shocked if we didn't get one, not sure exactly what the picks would be but some sort of draft concession is almost certain imo
  13. Would be pretty happy with Tudor as a senior coach, he certainly knows what it takes to be successful at AFL level and get the best out of players.
  14. There is abit of Talent on our list, especially key position players, Unfortunately most of the talent has 0 confidence so it's very difficult to even tell the reason they were drafted, a good coach will instill confidence into the group and they will be obviously better as soon as next year, especially if we recruit a couple of good mids,
  15. Anyone heard if we have contacted Voss yet? surely we will at some point, even as a midfield coach
  16. 2014 my random guess MFC Coach: Rodney Eade Lions Coach: Adam Simpson WCE Coach: Scott Burns Ess Coach: Simon Goodwin
  17. I was told today that Brisbane consider Eade, Simpson and Worsfold the three front runners now, interesting they included Worsfold but they're very confident he won't be coach of WCE next year, make of that whatever you like.
  18. I don't like this watts and pick 2 for a B grade player talk, Watts alone is worth a mid-late first round pick imo. Adelaide offer Rory Sloane they can have Watts and pick 20 for Sloane and a third round pick. Gold coast offer David Swallow they can have a straight swap for Watts.
  19. We would be insane not to sit down with Chip, if he has already made the decision privately that when his time is up he is going to leave then we need to look at trading him, young darcy gardiner in the draft will be a very good full back and will go about pick 15 so if we get that for watts it would be a handy replacement having said that i'd offer chip a 3 year extension at 1 mil a year and co captaincy next year, he is our most important player by a mile. Frawley would have significant trade value if he does want to leave though, i'd be looking at Gold coast for Prestia or Swallow and first round pick Watts should get us a later first round pick given the level of interest he is attracting losing Col should get us a pick between 20-30 if we lose all three as well as davey and don't get at least 2 free agents we're in big trouble.
  20. Trengove is a perfect example of the point i have taken with regards to Mission, i work in the fitness industry and when you try and load up too quickly it can cause things like OP and so on, for mine Trengove has bulked up but has very little muscle definition, i'm nowhere near as qualified as Mission but i know how to stop that happening so he clearly isn't making all of the decisions with regards to this program himself. this pre season and next year will be a very good indication.
  21. They are approaching potential assistants such as Burns, Ling and Simpson, if we are taking PJ at his word then they could only be assistants and not senior coaching candidates. the decision may well have been made behind closed doors for quite some time. also private discussions between us and Roos may be making the situation awkward, i find it hard to believe that we would still be chasing a bloke who is just flat out saying no, he might well be giving the club some sort of hope in these discussions, either way i have faith in PJ and the panel to get this decision correct.
  22. Dave mission is one of the best fitness workers in the AFL industry, and i know for a fact alot of what he has done so far with MFC is what Mark Neeld asked him to do, he deserves more time imo, a decent coach will fix this side of things up.
  23. I find it hard to believe that an AO6 cream would be banned, not doubting that peopl here no their stuff but you can buy them for cosmetic use, surely the AFL can't slap him with a two year ban for a beauty product, trenners is abit of a pretty boy, i reckon he could convince them.
  24. wednesday september 4 i reckon, the morning after our last game when Craig has finished up and gives them a couple of days to consider things if we happen to have a win ( no chance in hell craig gets the job for mine though )
  25. Ah i didn't realise that, good! spent all last night frustrated thinking they got off soft haha either way i have a funny feeling that the Melbourne investigation will come to a big pile of not much, the AFL knows ANY punishment would almost kill us.
