Mcevoy doesn't hold a candle to Frawley as a player, Chip is the best full back in the comp imo, if we aren't desperate to keep him something is seriously wrong. if they were to offer that deal for Tom Mcdonald i think we would look at it.

The AFL have said they will not pay Roos but i wonder if they would be tempting him with things like the Priority pick, money to set up his dream coaching panel and everything needed to make MFC a powerhouse again?

I was told by a very well informed mate that Craig is right in the mix, they have obviously stuffed up bigtime now Eade and Roos are out of the picture. Ayres wouldn't be the worst choice.

My question is why would he say this now? doesn't seem like the sorta guy to give hope where there is none, blushed when ( not sure who it was ) said this will be the biggest thing since barassi leaving knows everyone will think this is a done deal, but why not wait til monday and just make an announcement?

That's not so surprising, his role would be to assess the candidates who were interviewed, doubtful he would have had alot to do with the Roos side of things.

Interesting that he talks about starting to see a vision of what it would look like, i'd suggest he had done that some weeks ago when he put up the article about Melbournes 2014 round 1 side and talked about how we were a very attractive challenge, i'd say we are right in the box seat if it's not done already!

I was told in June we were every chance, and GNF has said we were right in the hunt many times, it may just be that he hasn't wanted to declare an interest publicly until now, backing the club in to finish the job and announce it now.
