I think some of the best players of this draft will go between picks 10-25 Duggan, Ahern, Lamb and Goddard are all blokes who can seriously play I don't see anyone besides Petracca and McCartin as any better than those 4, seems a very even draft

Both still have extra cap room I believe but i'd imagine the same rules would apply where they have to pay 95% although both have players on good dollars so I doubt they would have any issue with that the thing I think our club needs is a good traditional rebuild through the draft with some high quality people on board to make sure we develop the young talent we bring in, no more quick fixes, no more bandaids, a PP now could be exactly what we need

tell ya what, Lingy was exactly the same while commentating the game, I was thinking the entire time that I would bet my left one he is at the club next year he described part of what we were doing in a weird way, and then at quarter time Roosy said exactly the same thing and it just seemed like they have had a serious discussion about the game plan over one of their little coffee dates.

Couldn't agree more, we need to bite the bullet, accept it's going to take time but absolutely milk the time we have with Roos and Stone and make sure we develop this crop extremely well, Petracca is absolute superstar quality and Brayshaw is going to be a steady quality midfielder for 10-12 years

think Jake Stringer, he's a bit taller and a better mark than Dusty, he has a little bit of Fyfe about him

I think we had the right idea but executed it terribly, we drafted the wrong kids, not all wrong but some, our development has been the worst in the comp easily, we haven't really had leaders since Bruce, Yze, Mcdonald and co, if we can get in guys like O'keefe, Malceski, Cross, Vince, Jones, Dawes, Garland and fill the gaps with some really good young players and develop them well, I think we have a good enough coach and plan to get it right this time

It's going to take time, but I think it's the only way to be honest, the only players i'd look to trade for are guys like Tom Mitchell and Dylan Shiel i'd 100% be taking Petracca with pick 2 though, that should be an absolute lock imo

and certainly the type of player we need, he will go into the middle hit the ball hard and win clearances, but he can go forward and kick multiple goals and is capable of almost playing as a key position player, I see him as a walk up start for our best 22

Talking on the couch saying that Peter Jackson should go to Paul Roos and say you can't trade these early picks unless say pick 3 went for two top 20 picks basically said we need to flood the club with good young talent and focus heavily on development, time for a traditional rebuild with some decent people in charge
