MFC needs to get a sponsorship deal with a major beer company so they can at least let their members drown their sorrows
-
Email that in to the club, disgusting we contribute good money year after year and get this [censored] served up to us, at least under Bailey we tried to kick goals.
-
I reckon Roos should pick 10-15 players worth keeping and just turn the rest of this list over Keep N.jones, Hogan, Vince, Cross, Viney, Tyson, Dunn, Mcdonald, JKH, Salem, Gawn, Garland and trade the rest
-
How can professional athletes have this little pride In their performance? a lot of these blokes are playing for their AFL careers and they look like spoilt children chucking a tanty.
-
How many % ahead of the Saints are we? looking at a 130 point loss and less than 5 goals on the board..
-
I was going to suggest we trade Watts to the Saints for a pack of Skittles and a can of Coke but I realise now that's way overs maybe a skittle?
-
I'm sorry BBO, you're absolutely right! Back to watching the tea bagging we're copping
-
Unrelated note, Umpires giving Hawthorn an absolute bath, it's like they're playing 22 Joel Selwoods tonight
-
Dunno H_H Mitchell was really impressive late last year at senior level, I consider him on Par with Jack Viney and Sam Reid I don't rate as much as others, perhaps Jack Watts and our second rounder? he might come on pretty well in the swans side and culture, he would be able to play to his strengths a bit more
-
Unwatchable, the club should be ashamed of what's being dished up
-
I'd argue the Giants aren't settle the world on fire yet either, but I am sure it's going to turn really quickly for them when it does, next year will be a real test, if they have a bad year the players will be copping serious offers from all angles. But for the Bulldogs I think the expectation is the will push up towards the 8 next year and I think with a key forward being added to the mix they would be a very good chance, will be interesting to see if they turn their attention to Boyd or Cameron now
-
Did anyone else ever think the song by Green day " wake me up when September ends " was written about Melbourne?
-
The other thing is that Roo is still there, if you were going to take a key forward, now would be the time so he can learn of Roo in real time on field, who knows how many years the great man can go on for but McCartin would greatly benefit from him I would have thought
-
the Bulldogs look to be tracking fine to me, especially if they add a key forward to that mix, the Giants have a raft of young stars who are all going to demand big dollars, Cameron is going to be offered big dollars by rival clubs, as is Shiel, as is Treloar, it will be interesting to see if they take significant pay cuts to stay together FWIW I think the Suns will be the new monster of the AFL, they look to be improving at a much steeper rate than the Giants imo
-
I think when it really comes down to it the Saints will pick McCartin, sets up a key part of their forward structure long term, every draft has good mids, not every draft has good key forwards
-
True, but not everyone gets massive multi million dollar deals to move home waved under their noses either, I have no idea if the Bulldogs offer was true or not but I reckon it would have been bloody tempting if it was

Settle down Billy! -
Reminds me a little bit of Jordan Gysberts, if i'm honest I am a bit turned off the idea based on recent weeks

If the bulldogs offer was true, and he wasn't injured I reckon he would have blown he pact idea out the window, would be silly for a bloke to knock back moving home and securing his financial future all at the same time, I think the Injury has possibly limited his options a little bit
-
I wouldn't offer more than our second round pick, someone will trump that
-
Ahern and Duggan worth a serious look
-
I'd like to see free agency be changed so the top 4 sides can't take free agents and the bottom 4 can't lose them Helps stop sides like us being locked to the bottom, also prevents extra top 5 compo picks keeping drafts fair Top sides also can't just load up on talent System has worked in other sports

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Ted Lasso replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah, I think there needs to be a consistant harsh punishment personally, 1 year if they cooperate starting at week 1 of the next season, 2 if they don't cooperate -
Dissagree, we have had a lot of high picks and had Nathan Jones and James Frawley as the only two who have really come on that leaves, Strauss, Blease, Tapscott, Scully, Trengove, Sylvia, Watts, Grimes, Toumpas, Salem, Cook, Morton none of whom at this point have really come on, Salem and Toumpas probably need more time but i'm not sure that many players could be rated so highly and just be duds I reckon it's about 30% recruiting 70% development, even if the player is a dud, if you develop them well then they can at least be serviceable

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

I think the thing is the damage to reputation and the negative publicity is a punishment in it's own, the club cops the cheats tag as do the players and that doesn't wash off, I don't think Essendon will be offered any deals because they have been blatantly trying to cheat the system to get off on a technicality
