  1. His kicking really impresses me, he's got the skills of a quality half back but can play on power forwards.
  2. I have been to a few of his games this year and his defensive work rate is fine, at TAC cup level it's quite raw, defensive work rate becomes alot more obvious when it is implemented into a structure and role within an AFL side, really at TAC cup level he just wants to stand out as much as possible, but he's more than capable of running both ways and doing those things.
  3. Roos worked with him alot at the academy, and tried to convince him to come to us over the swans. i'd certainly grab him as a delisted free agent or in the draft,
  4. Jesse Hogan will be having wet dreams over the prospect of Salem moving into the midfield and Parish joining us and those two blokes kicking the ball into him, He'll be unstoppable, he was dominant with some of the terrible entries he got last year.
  5. He is quite good, he runs hard defensively, you'll often see him working back to defense and helping clear the ball, the only knock i have is some of the bigger bodies can slip his tackles from time to time, having said that a year or two in the gym and he's not going to have an issue there. kid is exactly what we need.
  6. I reckon if we pass on parish we will regret it bigtime.
  7. Dream job, delay everything, line their pockets in the process.
  8. I'd certainly look at it. comes from Hawthorn. imo would be in our 22 great experience knows what it takes to win premierships costs nothing could still have 3-4 good years left.
  9. I'm not against the idea at all, even Curnow is a bit of a risk, our team desperately needs that sort of speed and x factor
  10. they could use that week for things like EJ whitten game, Brownlow, All Australian team, Rising star, get all the awards done
  11. Why John Worsfold agreed to have anything to do with this mob i have no idea, the list is awful aside from Heppell and Hooker who may get banned, they need a total rebuild
  12. One thing we've seem from this recruiting team is they haven't sprung surprises like that, i think we'll grab Parish at 3 and hope Curnow is at 7. we fought off the temptation to grab Lever early, imo Parish is to good to pass up at 3.
  13. 2020 Jetta T.Mcdonald O.Mcdonald Stretch Frost Melksham Parish Brayshaw Salem Petracca Hogan Vandenberg Garlett Dawes Curnow Gawn Viney Tyson I/c JKH, Neil Bullen, Trengove, Kennedy
  14. If i thought i was going to be drafted by the Lions i'd start playing up to.
  15. Anything to back that up? i've seen nothing to suggest he is anything other than the obvious choice.
  16. I rate JKH, i think he's a link player, another solid pre season and i reckon he'll be fine.
  17. He's the best player that's going to be there at pick 3, i'd say he's a lock pick 7 is much less so
  18. Even unproven key forwards who showed promise and went as high picks seem to hold far more currency then mids, i mean look at Tom Boyd.
  19. Jesse Hogan is going to love him delivering the ball inside 50...
  20. For me, Charlie Curnow is this, he could be an absolute superstar but i think he could be a flop too Parish for me is just a jet and a really safe option, i'd say Oliver will be a good player as well
  21. I reckon if fit Trengove slots back in somewhere.
  22. Certainly fits the theme of competitor, would be a good choice. i just don't feel we can pass up the opportunity for a Parish and key forward combination Oliver reminds me of Gus Brayshaw but with far less class but makes up for it with just determination and will.
  23. I do see your point, not every key forward is a Jesse Hogan... I always felt Tom Hawkins showed signs in that time, not consistently enough, i personally watch the dogs quite closely and haven't really seen much that tells me Boyd is all that special.
