  1. Has a very similar way of marking the ball, jumps vertically and uses his height, takes it at the highest point and it makes him super hard to defend, he's also just so mobile, absolutely elite below his knees for a guy his size and a very capable tackler. if it were my choice he'd be coming to the MFC at pick #7
  2. I agree, i think he's right in the mix
  3. That's about what i am hearing as well, huge riskvreward factor there, if it comes off he is the perfect foil for Hogan and potentially a gun forward for 10 years, or it could be a total bust. Harry Mckay imo is a far better option, he will be there at pick 7, Parish and Mckay or Oliver would be great imo
  4. Having watched him live a couple of times this year, his disposal is fine, he is really good in traffic and like alot of younger players is still learning when to hang onto the ball and lower his eyes and when to just go long off one step and get it forward. but he's an animal at the contest, finds space and tackles hard, some similarities to Dom Tyson
  5. It's hard to look at any aspect of the EFC and not feel drained, maybe that explains all the vitamin injections.
  6. Two of, in order of preference Parish Weiderman Mckay Francis Curnow Oliver Maitherson
  7. No doubt the game style will be more attacking under Goodwin, but i think the way they view the game and the way they believe sustained success is built will be very similar, Roos number 1 goal will be to make sure we stay the course once he's gone.
  8. I could see something like Ess: Curnow Ess: Francis GCS: Milera something like that seems possible
  9. Interesting, so Essendon and GCS will pass on Weiderman?
  10. How do you define best available? best on exposed form: Darcy Parish Highest ceiling on talent alone: Charlie Curnow I don't think we would have done the trading we did unless we had a player in mind.
  11. Time for a poll? i'm going Parish and Mckay
  12. I think the class factor is the difference for mine, watching Parish a couple of times this year he did things that just highlighted what sets him apart, even Matherson is a very good player, any of the three would be a good choice, although i'm least sold on Curnow.
  13. and from what i've heard incredibly hard trainer, certainly fits the bills in terms of the types of personalities we're after. Hogan is going to take the best defender most weeks, handy having a 200cm key who loves a contested mark getting the second best, leave Watts or Dawes the third.
  14. While i agree, i don't think it's through lack of trying so much, they threw everything at Treloar and it didn't work out, tried for Trengove last year but it fell through, I just think they're a mediocre team and people can see that, where we are already beating them and have a lot of improvement to go.
  15. Was EFC involved in the convo?
  16. really interested to see who gold coast take, they may want another key forward to replace dixon
  17. He would be the perfect forward/ruck fit if he could develop into anything like the player he's capable of being. a 200cm power forward will be difficult for any teams second defender to handle, he and Hogan could be deadly
  18. [censored] Essendon
  19. we want daisy and Jesse spending as much time together as possible haha
  20. C: Nathan Jones VC: Lynden Dunn rest: Tmac, Lumumba, Dawes, Viney
  21. 1. I think at a better side, with less off field stuff Mark Neeld may have been an okay coach, not saying he wouldn't have been sacked, but i think he's better than his record reflects. 2. When we first traded pick 3 and 13 for Hogan and 20 or whatever it was, i thought we'd paid way overs ( feeling very silly now ) personally would have gone with Wines, Toumpas and Grundy with those three at the time. 3. I rate Jack Watts, still. 4. I don't think we'd have a greater than 10% chance of playing finals in 2016. 5. not 100% sold on SImon Goodwin.
  22. I will start this off by saying i clearly rate Parish. but he reminds me alot of Jono O'rourke talent means nothing if you don't have the attitude, coaches to make use of it he could be O'rourke or he could be Andrew Gaff.
  23. I heard this morning that Curnow is unlikely to make it past the Bombers, who will take whoever of Curnow or Parish is there at pick 4 and probably Wielderman at 5, they see Curnow as a big bodied mid.
  24. I'm not so sure, i reckon he'll be our best mid very quickly, he's so damaging!
  25. To strong a focus going into cultural change to pay out a contract in order to get a delisted player in. maybe if someone like Moore didn't get picked up he'd be a rookie option, i reckon he's got some ability.
