Must admit, i know a few guys at other clubs who wouldn't mind him coming across, he, Gus, Tmac and Hogan seem to be pretty well respected already.

Callum Twomey and Brenton Sanderson's Mock Draft Podcast
Ted Lasso replied to DemonLad5's topic in Melbourne Demons
Just because his name is similar to Ollie doesn't mean anything, his body of work over the past two years has not been anything like Ollie Wines, at the start of this year he wasn't even tipped to be drafted... he's come from nowhere. -
It's honestly not all that bad, the intent is there, sometimes he struggles to bring down bigger bodies but he's having a dip, bit of time in the gym and that will improve
-
3, Curnow 7.Mckay Petracca Mckay Watts Curnow Hogan Garlett pretty handy
-
We can't rely on Dawes or Pederson to spearhead the attack if Hogan is out for whatever reasons, we clearly need at least one tall in those two picks.
-
Parish and Weiderman/Mckay/Curnow sorted i reckon haha
-
I still think people are underselling the gap here honestly, Parish is a much better inside player than people think, he averaged 29 touches per game in the TAC cup, but about 45% of those were contested, he averages about as many contested possessions per game as Oliver and is far and away more dangerous on the outside, and had backed it up over a two year body of work inc dual all Australian, where Oliver for example has really only come good this season after some serious question marks about if he'd even be drafted.
-
If that happened and say Carlton bid pick 1 for him, Weitering would be a lion, and we'd be silly not to take Schache at 3 i would have thought, can't imagine it happening though, we bid pick 2 for Heeney last year.
-
Interchange cap imo is going to do two things. encourage stay at home forwards a little bit more, and probably mean any third forwards are going to be backup ruck or resting ruckman i don't think we'll be going for any more than one tall in the draft given we still have Hogan, Dawes, Gawn who'd all be at this stage in the 22 i'd say.
-
I'd use it as an equalization measure, so if there are four academy players, they're essentially mini draft picks that the bottom four sides can trade, or take if they choose, good way to get the bottom sides to rise quickly

Some serious questions asked about Paul Roos ...
Ted Lasso replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I reckon that's the deal, Roosy is the MFC's bullet shield this season, he will take all the heat and let Goodwin settle into the role over the year -
The most obvious admission of guilt is the actions of the EFC, dragging the saga out, turning over a huge number of players, they're trying to make sure even if they're found guilty they don't lose 3/4 on the team. First appeal was a blatant attempt to get off on a technicality rather than prove innocence James Hird might still be appealing something, he is that far off the rails.
-
Christian Petracca is one, last pre season i had him and Chunk on par in terms of standards in training, he could come in and have a Hogan-like impact. another pre season into Brayshaw and Salem should see them play in the middle abit more.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY
Ted Lasso replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
To be fair, he couldn't settle into the speed of AFL footy because he was never really given the chance, the kids got some ability, i'd consider this a typical Roos pick up, at worst he is no worse than Michie and co, so more depth, and at best he could easily become a very hand AFL level player. -
I think people misunderstand the academies a bit, the players are rated so highly because they have been through that program, they're talented players, not necessarily as talented as what this draft position may reflect, but they've been under intense AFL training programs with development coaches, it's like if we got Parish at the end of last year and gave him a year under Roos and McCartney, i guarantee he'd be rated as the number 1 or 2 pick now It's a huge advantage, we got to use it on Hogan and Viney
-
Parish is a must for pick 3 Clear choice.
-
Sam frost is going to arrive big time in 2016 playing at chb
-
Emma's opinion on the draft is one I have nothing but respect for but personally think Parish is too low there.
-
If he had been better on the set shots he could easily have gone very close to All Australian this year, improves that area and suddenly he could be a 50 goal a year small forward and that's in a struggling team, as we rise so will he

2015 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Ted Lasso replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
We may as well start contract negotiations with weitering now in all seriousness though i think any top 10 draft pick should be locked into a three year term, allow the players the chance to really settle in before Hawthorn rocks up -
Which is most likely to become a dominant power forward in their own right in case, god forbit, Hogan gets injured or leaves or something, our depth is non existent there at the minute.
-
Agreed, could easily be a flop. Parish and whoever they think is best of Weiderman, Mckay or Oliver

Some serious questions asked about Paul Roos ...
Ted Lasso replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
if we play finals next year, strong possibility Roosy regrets not hanging around a bit longer i reckon, with the core we are starting to build, couple more young guns coming through the draft this year, doing something like Hawthorn is not out of the question. -
My info on this is that Jesse's manager is doing his job, well aware big offers are going to come, wants jesse to put in another really good year and then squeeze out the best possible deal for his client, could sign for 5 years at a million right now and then find out 12 months later it might have been 8 years at 1.5 when the MFC were a bit more worried. all indications seem to be that he'll stay with us, but he still has 2 years to run and an extension isn't a priority. He's looking at potential forward partners from the draft, headlining the clubs re-branding, very much becoming the face of the club, you don't do all of those things if you aren't interested in hanging around.
-
fair call, but i stand by it, of all the key forwards in this draft, i'd say he's the best below his knees, and very good in the air as well.
