  1. I reckon he's got some talent but not sure where the Tigers asking price would sit, he's certainly behind in his development based on where i think he should be
  2. The moment anyone without Dimma level delusion gets hold of that list they'll be going through a full re-build, i wouldn't be surprised if their " stars" are already one foot out the door.
  3. I think there is still a bit to play out here, the deal he's been offered is way overs, Dimma is on shakey ground and i am 99.9% certain any replacement coach would seriously re-think this decision as giving up pick 6 for Prestia given his injury prone-ness would be a disaster. 5 assistants sacked already, coach on shakey ground, board on shakey ground, noone at the Tigers is safe, imo close to the worst list going around, no young talent coming through, this decision is 100% financial from Prestia.
  4. I have mentioned on here before my best friend is quite good friends with Jesse and the info i've had for a long time is that he loves Melbourne (the city) and the club and loves the direction but there are factors in WA that are a consideration, i am 90% sure he'll stay and that that'll be locked away before round 1, but until the ink is dry on his contract noone can be certain. i think the club is now in a position where losing Jesse wouldn't set us back 5 years, it'd be a dent but i think we could cover it.
  5. It's been mentioned on here a few times but there are reasons why the family pull would be a bit stronger for Jesse than it might other interstate players, i still think given our list that Jesse will sign on and i think it'll happen sooner rather than later but he wouldn't be human if leaving wasn't tempting. I don't buy the idea that he's constantly changing his mind and the club is getting frustrated, i reckon Caro is way off the mark with that, i reckon Jesse would be pretty open with the club but nothings changed, there is a strong pull home and Jesse has a decision to make, but all the talk coming from Jesse and his manager publicly seems to be quite positive, the club is clearly on the improve and i recckon in a much better position than Fremantle going forward and i reckon we're a huge chance to retain him. if he wants to leave we'll get ourselves a couple of really good picks and a player. and still have Sammy Weiderman and Watts so it won't be the end of the world.
  6. Terlich i would have thought was gone, JkH i think is contracted but likely shopped around to see if there are any takers, i suspect Alex neal-bullen is probably the same
  7. Who're our likely departures? Dawes, Grimes, Michie, Newton, King, White?
  8. The challenge here is that Zac Clarke would be moving for opportunities, and being backup to Max Gawn isn't really that, this year he might well have played zero games for us, i do think the club should consider an experienced ruckman who can play as a forward to give Max a chop out but it would have to be the absolute right fit.
  9. Yup, I remember the same interview, he basically ruled out an untried coach and said it'd be one of Roos, Eade, Williams or Craig
  10. Oh so i shouldn't post things because it might have been said on a random show? or should i run it by you before i post?
  11. not disputing the idea that we are more attractive with more wins, simply stating that it's not a clear rule for every side,
  12. Essendon won 3 @60% and Richmond won 8 @80% and i reckon most would much rather go to the Bombers
  13. Exactly, and that's probably the best offer we could make without totally selling the farm
  14. You don't chase these guys for the sake of it (unless you're Richmond) the bloke hasn't played in two years and would cost next years first rounder this years second rounder and probably steak knives. we'd be foolish to chase him.
  15. He is OOC and the Doggies are still hoping he'll stick around, there is some pretty strong interest from a few clubs, the one i keep hearing is Essendon
  16. Richmond now get the fun job of trying to find 5 quality assistant coaches, get them on the same page as Dimma and get them to build a rapport with the players in time for pre season, with the huge potential Dimma gets sacked half way through next year and they all get moved on anyways.
  17. He's extremely stiff not to get a nomination no doubt, but long term i don't think it matters, you can see already that he's going to be a huge part of the side going forward and i reckon he adds a real point of difference to the side, the forwards must love seeing him charging through the middle of the ground, but he's also super hard and committed at the contest, i am not sure if he will play most of his footy as a running defender or as a wingman, but i think he'll be in our best 10 players for the next decade! i couldn't be more excited to see what he and many others produce after another pre season under Goodwin and Macca
  18. Interesting so what are Collingwood going to give up to get him over the line considering they have no first round pick? it's tough to see them being able to get that deal over the line Carlton, Essendon and the Saints are better chances of getting a trade done
  19. I think one of the big differences is Roosy said a few times he felt we had a fair bit of talent that was either underperforming or not being developed, Trenners, Watts, Grimes ect I think the Lions have some Raw young talent that should be okay and some reasonable but injury prone senior players but i think their turn around might be a bit longer than ours.
  20. Absolutely! Jonothan Brown makes a fantastic point in on the couch this week about their list, they have 5 A graders who are a little older and probably won't be there for their next flag but it's hard to name a single young player on their list who looks any chance of being an A grade talent, and they're still looking like trading a pick 6 our for an injury prone Dion Prestia and second round pick out for an older Travis Cloke. the sooner they sack Dimma and decide to go down the path of a full re-build the better, because if they haven't done that in 2 years they'll be every bit as concerning as we were when Roosy joined and the Lions are now. The AFL can't just bail teams out for making horrible decisions all the time.
  21. None, it's a shocking decision, how can you sack the spear and re-contract the spear head, either they're all accountable or none are. sacking all 5 but retaining Dimma is a serious joke
