  1. Jesse has a contract, if he wants to spend the year deciding we can't do much, we can delist him and let him walk to another club but ultimately it's up to him, good clubs retain their good players so it's as important for us to not be scared off and to get it right as it is for him
  2. Collingwood will find it extremely hard to get a deal done without giving up a very good player, Essendon on the other hand could simply just grab him in the PSD, pay him what he wants and everyone is a winner, well aside from the Suns but their stupid comments have cost them.
  3. Because he has a contract that gives him the right and he's allowed to be genuinely undecided, people forget this guy is 21, i know when i was 21 i would have really struggled with this, he's loyal to Melbourne, we're on an exciting path but his family is in perth and there is a pull home. Paul Roos said last night on open mike that Jesse had shown absolutely no signs or given any indication that he was going to leave the footy club so that's a good sign
  4. Wonder if the Tigers would be tempted by Dawes and a swap of later picks?
  5. No, i think most of these decisions would have been 99.9% made already, i think they'll definitely hold off til after the VFL finals, maybe someone like Newton might get a look at a Rookie spot if he dominates in the finals
  6. In my honest opinion, Rance and Martin are the only thing keeping Richmond from being every bit as bad as Brisbane Lions, they have no idea how deep the hole they're in is, there is no talent coming through on their list.
  7. Get on the blower to the Tigers, straight swap of Dawes for Lennon, they get a key forward, we get a young underperforming mid
  8. I reckon he's got some talent but not sure where the Tigers asking price would sit, he's certainly behind in his development based on where i think he should be
  9. The moment anyone without Dimma level delusion gets hold of that list they'll be going through a full re-build, i wouldn't be surprised if their " stars" are already one foot out the door.
  10. I think there is still a bit to play out here, the deal he's been offered is way overs, Dimma is on shakey ground and i am 99.9% certain any replacement coach would seriously re-think this decision as giving up pick 6 for Prestia given his injury prone-ness would be a disaster. 5 assistants sacked already, coach on shakey ground, board on shakey ground, noone at the Tigers is safe, imo close to the worst list going around, no young talent coming through, this decision is 100% financial from Prestia.
  11. I have mentioned on here before my best friend is quite good friends with Jesse and the info i've had for a long time is that he loves Melbourne (the city) and the club and loves the direction but there are factors in WA that are a consideration, i am 90% sure he'll stay and that that'll be locked away before round 1, but until the ink is dry on his contract noone can be certain. i think the club is now in a position where losing Jesse wouldn't set us back 5 years, it'd be a dent but i think we could cover it.
  12. It's been mentioned on here a few times but there are reasons why the family pull would be a bit stronger for Jesse than it might other interstate players, i still think given our list that Jesse will sign on and i think it'll happen sooner rather than later but he wouldn't be human if leaving wasn't tempting. I don't buy the idea that he's constantly changing his mind and the club is getting frustrated, i reckon Caro is way off the mark with that, i reckon Jesse would be pretty open with the club but nothings changed, there is a strong pull home and Jesse has a decision to make, but all the talk coming from Jesse and his manager publicly seems to be quite positive, the club is clearly on the improve and i recckon in a much better position than Fremantle going forward and i reckon we're a huge chance to retain him. if he wants to leave we'll get ourselves a couple of really good picks and a player. and still have Sammy Weiderman and Watts so it won't be the end of the world.
  13. Terlich i would have thought was gone, JkH i think is contracted but likely shopped around to see if there are any takers, i suspect Alex neal-bullen is probably the same
  14. Who're our likely departures? Dawes, Grimes, Michie, Newton, King, White?
  15. The challenge here is that Zac Clarke would be moving for opportunities, and being backup to Max Gawn isn't really that, this year he might well have played zero games for us, i do think the club should consider an experienced ruckman who can play as a forward to give Max a chop out but it would have to be the absolute right fit.
  16. Yup, I remember the same interview, he basically ruled out an untried coach and said it'd be one of Roos, Eade, Williams or Craig
  17. Oh so i shouldn't post things because it might have been said on a random show? or should i run it by you before i post?
  18. I suspect that is 100% the case
  19. not disputing the idea that we are more attractive with more wins, simply stating that it's not a clear rule for every side,
  20. Essendon won 3 @60% and Richmond won 8 @80% and i reckon most would much rather go to the Bombers
  21. Exactly, and that's probably the best offer we could make without totally selling the farm
  22. Have you got a link? reports are it's good value
  23. You don't chase these guys for the sake of it (unless you're Richmond) the bloke hasn't played in two years and would cost next years first rounder this years second rounder and probably steak knives. we'd be foolish to chase him.
