  1. Lets be honest, he'd still be in our best 10 players, he'd add experience, skill, speed and 30-35 goals to our side next year and going forward would be a great mentor for a lot of our players, if we're putting his age aside and basing this decision on form, he is an obvious choice, he'd significantly improve our side and he'd cost us nothing.
  2. I 110% agree, if you look at what our team desperately needs, he hits most of those things, he's quick, skillful, extremely dangerous around goals and would finish top 7 in our B&F next year. i would be very surprised if someone doesn't grab him, imagine what Kent, Kennedy, Garlett and co would learn off him
  3. Gotta look at the Giants, we have a great trading relationship with them and they have some really good young talent that hasn't been able to get on the park players like Ahearn and Picket were top 10 super talented picks but have been constantly injured and might be worth looking at ( i haven't been following them so not sure how good they are these days) but both were guns in the under age comp
  4. Last thing they'll want is a very public reminder about what they did given all the positive press they have somehow been given recently, i reckon they should take pick 27 and run to be honest.
  5. Seems we just have a few players we're going to dangle out there and see if we can get any value, if not we'll probably just grab hibberd, i reckon most of our next premiership side is already here so just getting the development in.
  6. Would love to see Jesse get out with Jack Watts and just get some really hard work done on his goal kicking action, i reckon if Jesse could convert, his confidence would soar and he'd be the equal of Tom Lynch very quickly.
  7. 27 & 45 for Hibberd and 55? solid second round pick and a good upgrade for their third rounder
  8. I still think Vince is a much better mid than a half back and that's where we should be playing him, as a midfield rotation, i'm sure if Hibberd comes on board he'll slot back into the midfield mix
  9. I just think he's a professional young footballer with high expectations of himself and he like the rest of the footy world realizes he's underperforming and he's becoming frustrated? i reckon it's pretty understandable.
  10. The bombers need to realise he's been out of the AFL system for 12 months, there is no way of knowing how long it will take these players to re-adjust to that lifestyle, and training and if they'll be able to deliver right away, i have no doubt these players will be a long way below their best. personally think pick 27 is a little generous if anything.
  11. I appreciate what you're trying to say but there is no way Caro has got this info from anyone at Melbourne as she suggested, these conversations if they happened at all would be between Jesse and his management, he wouldn't be talking to the club about them. i am 99.9% certain Jesse's manager wouldn't be leaking that info to Caro if it were true, i reckon like a lot of other things in the past 18 months, she's made this up.
  12. It's a load of rubbish, Jesse gets every word in he said heavily analysed by every media outlet, why would he say things like that to a random MFC official who was going to pass it on to someone like Caro. I don't believe Jesse would have had these conversations with anyone outside his family, Roosy, Goody PJ ect who aren't gunna talk to Caro and his manager. I reckon it's pretty disrespectful to suggest that Jesse is making his intentions public knowledge within the club so consistently and that someone is relaying this information to someone like caro, we barely leak info on anything (unless we want to ) for the record i believe very strongly jesse will stay, all the actions of the Perth clubs reflect that, the team is heading in the right directions and Jesse is saying all the right things!
  13. Can't trade Grimes unless Richmond and Grimes agree to do it that way, which they won't Sounds like Vickery will be a Hawk either way
  14. I reckon we'll be desperate to win this, give us huge momentum to attack the pre-season with. out: ANB, Vanders In: Garlett, M.Jones
  15. we've played on average games played, the youngest side in the comp most of the year, and with youth comes inconsistency, so while it's extremely dissapointing to drop a winnable game i think most would have to look at this season and Roos' tenure at the club as a huge positive and a sign of us heading in the right direction. I quite like the make up of the list and think it's really heading in the right direction, add in Melksham and maybe Hibberd next year and that's some more pace and skill. another off season in the GYM and working on ours skills, decision making and getting used to the game plan and i suspect we'll be looking very good for a strong finals tilt next year.
  16. I would under no circumstances trade Dom Tyson or Jayden Hunt, Tyson has finally hit a consistent run of good form and will keep getting better, i still believe he'll be the best of our midfielders. Jayden Hunt just adds so much to the side and his scope for improvement is insane. I'd also consisder Billy Stretch and Christian Salem untouchable unless an insanely good offer came along.
  17. Vickery will get a new home, i personally don't rate him but i reckon enough teams need tall forwards/ruck players that someone will be all over it.
  18. Grimes is a free agent so we have no real power to trade him to the Lions unless he wants to go there anyway.
  19. That's exactly why that decision was made last year, clearly it was felt that We needed a young foil for Hogan and Weideman was more talented than any of the key talls in this years draft, personally very happy with the outcome there.
  20. Added to this is the seemingly high likelyhood Richmond will part with pick 6 in order to get Prestia, they gave up a high pick for Yarren so really they're nailing their own coffins. I just think they are desperate to sign a big name of any sort just so they don't become totally irrelevant and they have something to sell going into next year
  21. One last look at Michie, playing for his AFL career
  22. I definitely think over the pre season the club should get someone to come in and just work on his goal kicking, get that right and Hogan becomes a much better player, he missed 2-3 very easy shots again on the weekend and that's been the difference between 40 goals and maybe 55-60 and being right up the top of the coleman medal tally, and probably us in the 8
  23. I think it definitely comes into the conversation, i mean Viney has probably had a better year (arguably ) than Dom Tyson but on the weekend Viney was tagged hard and Dom wasn't and Dom was clearly better, so different battles within battles, but i agree, on the last 4-5 weeks Watts has been miles ahead, and probably in the best 5 forwards in the comp so credit where credits due.
  24. I think the thing to consider is that Hogan has played on the best defender and often been double/triple teamed as well, i think getting the same numbers is a credit to him in that sense, Watts has had a fantastic year, but i think Hogan has been the better of the two just because of what he's delivered vs what he's had to deal with. I think his knee is still quite sore and that's impacted his form a little. bit of healthy debate is a good thing, i think it really would be a flip of the coin between the two though. Dean Kent is another who has provided great pressure, good run and also kicked 25 goals this year.
  25. I think he has some ability but it really depends what we'd have to give up, if it were a swap for a third round pick i'd probably look at it.
