Richmond VFL v Casey Demons - Round 18
I reckon there are some mind games going on here. Don't be surprised if ANB is a late change in for Melbourne to throw off their preparation. Goody is mind [censored] Hardwick.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Throw in Charlie Spargo as a sweetener, done deal!
-
Brandon Ellis (now a Sun)
This is unfair, Jones is one of few in our team that lowers his eyes and hits up targets in the corridor.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Makes you wonder what sort of antics they get up to in Cockburn.

Roos + Lyon - On The Couch
Or they are learning to play a different style with more deliberate ball movement and playing less on instinct. Our chaos ball works well when we have momentum but we need to develop that other gear to slow the ball at stages during the game. Might as well use the remaining games to practice that.

David King puts the Boot ? in
Great post. I have been pretty supportive of the club and our coaches and while this year has been an on field disaster I'm still confident this year is an abberation. This said if we're in the same position again next year heading into the bye then Goodwin will have a tough time keeping his job. I reckon we will see some significant changes in the Footy Department at the end of season along with players.

Melbourne v Adelaide Grand Final
I can't help but think if our players went on their camp and Adelaide hadn't then both sides would be playing for silverware in September. Thoughts?

CASEY: Rd 17 vs Sandringham
I'm furious

MFC Wrestling
I'd like to see us bring back the wilderbeast where at every stoppage we wrestle the ball back and make sure we hand it to the umpire for the ball up and not the opposition.

Roos is prepared to take a role at Carlton!
This is a moronic post. Roos did a terrific job at our club and was well worth the money. He's entitled to decide who he works for and to ask what he is worth. You would have no idea what is important to Paul Roos and probably have never even met him.

2 wins, 14 losses
I blame the camp

The old straight arm block - The Gawn rule.
We could always rest Max and play Charlie Spargo in the ruck in protest, citing the Max Gawn rule and cost of giving away frees in the oppositions F50 because is ruckman is too tall and skilled.

Jack Viney's Kicking
I'm concerned that the weight of captiancy is putting extra strain on Viney's foot. Just as dropping a couple of kg's body weight not having captiancy would free the weight off his mind and help ensure his foot isn't overloaded.

Jack Viney's Kicking
I'd look at Harley Bennell as well, late pick or rookie spot and wouldn't cost too much.

Midfield strength
Petracca stood out v Doggies for his strength and ability to clear the ball (to our advantage) from stoppages. He's been building very nicely and with an uninterrupted pre-season could become anything next year. Harmes has been very good for us on the wing and linking up forward. I'd rate him as our most consistent player over the past couple of seasons whether he's playing on ball running both offencively and defensively, mopping up out of our backline, generating run through the midfield, kicking into our F50, or sneaking forward to take a big mark and kicking goals. He's also a handy tagger. Super reliable and set to become a 200+ game player who is widely respected across the competition.
-
Midfield strength
I think our poor kicking is less about skill and more about confidence and trust between players. That is the player kicking has enough time, space and options to execute the kick or handball to recievers advantage and trusts the recieving player to mark or take ball cleanly and not turn it over. At the moment we don't have this 'connection' which means we either cannot score because we are playing too defensively or we get opened up and opposition scores when we turn ball over.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Rather than using the reference 'drug saga' can you refer to it correctly as 'The EFC performance enhancing drug program'

We are due for a Rebuild.
We've been impacted far more by injuries than any other club both during the season and in the offseason. It's not as bad as it seems and we have a core group of players that will make us a very good side for a long time to come. We will also have some good trade currency this year and I'd expect us to be busy picking up some outside pace and x factor. Keep the faith.
