Ross Lyon 2021
I'd get him as a match day runner

Fair call SWYL.

Spoon Favourites
With the AFL announcing the season being out on hold an hour before the game I don't think we can draw any conclusions from round one. The AFL should have waited until the end of round 1 to make the decision to out the season on hold, simples.

TRAINING: Tuesday 19th May 2020
Some great photos posted here. To any of the track watchers in attendance, how is Oscar Mac going? I feel he will be an important part of our back 6 this year. Also has anyone spoken to Harley and how he is feeling? From media reports it seems like he is in a good space and his calves are holding up well. Might get along to training when they are back at Gotch's.

Jones Smells New Beginning
I reckon on field experience will be even more important with reductions in coaching ranks. With reductions in runners, there is a reason why teams like West Coast, Collingwood and Richmond win games and how Geelong and Hawthorn have been able to keep in touch of finals despite ageing lists. I reckon post 2021 we might see the draft age increase to help in reducing list sizes through natural attrition. In my opinion this is the ideal time to increase draft age.

TRAINING: Monday, May 4 2020
Great, let's get down there en-masse and show our support. Dees!

Can members expect to get a refund?
I don't see what the issue is here. Aside from going into a legal argument about how much of a refund members were entitled to, Eddie was on a hiding to nothing with this line of questioning.

CHANGES: Rd 02 vs Carlton
Bennell, Vanders and Smith should all be right by then

Jack Viney for Captain
Clearly our best player, fit and leads from the front.

AFLW: SF vs GWS
Go you good things!!

Let Gary In
I reckon this proves he would be immune to COVID-19. Perhaps we should turn his blood into a vaccine.
- Noises I did not realise existed until tonight

Sponsorship Tarps to cover empty seats
I'd be speaking to the producers of sitcoms such as Seinfeld and Friends to superimpose cheering and laughter.

COVID-19 MFC Crowdfunding
Agree with this Rjay. As well as helping friends and family out, there is a need to keep family businesses running to help avoid the deeper second round effects of businesses closing and people losing their jobs. The best way to support the club IMO is to sign up in numbers (for those of us who can afford it), support our community, spend quality time with our families and spend money with family businesses and companies who pay their fair share of tax. The club and the league will get through this without a crowd funding campaign. This said I could see such funding being useful to obtaining a competitive advantage over coming years.

Didn't he also live in an airport, probably where he picked up CV.

Jeremy Howe Takes Swipe at Dees
This is actually pretty funny. I can't believe people on here are getting upset.

Goodwin's spiritual journey after season in hell
https://www.afl.com.au/video/381660/simon-goodwin-who-am-i-what-do-i-stand-for?videoId=381660&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1583670660001 Watched this expecting our coach to answer Purples question, only to be advised that to hear the answer I would need to subscribe to The Purple Headed Warriors podcast. This is outlandish and once I have calmed down will be emailing the club to demand an explanation!!

Spine Rankings
This is nonsense. Any so called analysis that doesn't have us as the best team in the comp is rubbish

Viney Cleared to Play Round 1
I disagree that it is purely about reducing litigation. The AFL and Clubs are doing alot of work in the areas of player welfare and creating an environment that is good for the players and their mental health. It's a pretty cynical view that the standard is to prevent litigation, rather than a higher standard of caring for players and their physical and mental health and overall quality of life.

To Hell & Back: Episode 5
You had me until "Whiteboard Wednesday".

POSTGAME: MS02 vs Hawthorn
Jack Viney is too one dimensional at winning

Jack Viney a Liability?
I see Viney as a big game player. Look at when he came back early from his foot injury in 2017 and tore apart WCE, our finals campaign in 2018. I see him playing a dozen or so solid games, a few quieter ones and around five critical, hard matches where he absolutely rips the game open. We've got the talent where we don't need Jack in top gear all of the time, but able to up his beastmode when needed in a way that turns games.

Gawn joins Fox Footy’s AFL 360
I don't like this, first the Captaincy and now this. I don't think his knees will hold up to the weight of it all!

New Role for Harmes
This makes perfect sense. Harmes played alot of time in the back half in the second half of last season and was very good. Also with the opposition's best mids often resting forward he can also nullify their impact.

POSTGAME: PM02 vs Kangaroos
I like the way Corey plays, he tackles hard, finds the ball in the HF, does nice things and is creative around goal.
